Short little story of Bella and Jacob, probably done but would consider continuing it if someone asked. Review Please. :)
A Dinner To Remember
With the sweet smell of Italian cuisine filling the air Jake's stomach begins to growl and he decides it's time to go in for dinner. He takes a quick second to wash off and jumps in the lake to cool down before heading inside.
Bella is just setting dinner on the table when she hears him coming up the front steps. She turns to the door and her heart flutters as Jacob comes in shaking off his short black hair with the sun glistening off the water droplets on his chest and perfect abs visible thanks to his now soaked unbuttoned black shirt. He smiles and Bella's heart beats faster and her cheeks flush pink the way they always do whenever she sees him.
He says "Hey Bells" and her face turns a slightly more red than pink shade at the sound of his voice
She chimes back "Hey Jake" with a smile.
"Smells delicious" he hums as he walks over and sits at the table.
"Let's hope it tastes that way too" she says and they both laugh as she puts some food on both their plates and sits down across from him to eat.
They sit quietly and eat the only thing breaking the silence being the birds chirping in the summer air. After dinner Bella cleans up and does the dishes to rejoin Jake this time on the couch after doing so. When she sits down and he doesn't put his arm around her she looks at him and asks "What's wrong?" He turns the TV off and turns to face her he takes both her hands in his and says "Can we talk?"
"Sure Jake, what is it?" she asks getting a bit nervous now.
There is a slight pause and he nervously begins "Well… you know it's been awhile since he left Bell and I just think we should give us a try."
"I don't know Jake…I mean what if…"
"He's not coming back Bells and so what if he does. He doesn't deserve you, he left and he hurt you. But I'm not going anywhere you know that. Please Bell I love you and I know you love me too all I'm asking for is a chance."
She starts to cry a little and says "I'm so sorry Jacob but… your right I do love you and I always have I was just too afraid to admit it."
Jacob who almost seemed to be holding his breath the whole time wipes and tears from her eyes and softly places a gentle kiss upon her lips which she of course returns before saying "I love you Bells" and wrapping her in a tight hug
"I love you too Jake."
