Neville's Confession

(One Shot)

The battle of Hogwarts was going on. Neville Longbottom ran through the crowds of people fighting the hardest they've ever fought in their life. They were all risking their lives to save the wizarding world. But only one thing happened to be on his mind. Luna Lovegood. He wanted to know if she was alright. He wasn't sure what he would do if she wasn't. All he knew was that he was truly in love with her.

As Neville ran through the crowds of people he spotted Harry and Ginny. Neville ran as fast as he possibly could to get to Harry and Ginny. As he came closer, he nearly crashed right into them because of how fast he was running. He could hardly stop his legs from moving.

"Have you guys seen Luna!" Shouted Neville over the sound of cries coming from the war.

"Luna? No." Both Harry and Ginny said together.

"I'm mad for her! I should tell her now, because we both may be dead before dawn!" Neville shouted as he proceeded running as fast as he could.

Once Neville spotted Luna she was up against three or four death eaters.

"STUPIFY! STUPIFY! STUPIFY! STUPIFY!" Neville shouted, managing to hit each death eater. Those DA classes Harry taught a few years back, really paid off.

Neville grabbed Luna's wrist, and pulled her along, until they got to a safer place.

"Neville! You saved me! You're really great you know!" Luna spoke a lot less dreamy than her usual tone of voice.

"You're not too bad yourself." Neville said as he pushed a strand of blonde hair behind Luna's ear.

"Oh come on. I never would have been able to fight off all those death eaters if you hadn't showed up!"

"Look Luna, I have something I need to tell you."

Luna looked into Neville's eyes, as terrified as she was. Neville was the only thing that mattered to her at that moment.

"I-I love you Luna! You're beautiful! I love everything about you! You're all I want in a girl, and more."

Luna continued staring into Neville's eyes, with tears forming in hers.

"No-No Luna, please don't cry!"

"I'm just so scared Neville! What if we don't make it! I'm terrified."

Neville pulled Luna into a tight hug. "Everything will be okay; I won't let anything happen to you! I love you."

"… I love you too." Luna mumbled into his chest.

They pulled away from the hug, and forcefully pressed their lips together.

As they pulled away from each other Neville mumbled "Loony Lovegood, you are amazing."

Luna smiled and said "I'm Loony for you Neville. Always have been, and always will be, even if we don't make it."

A single tear rolled down her cheek.

"Don't talk like that, we will make it! I'll make sure we do! I won't let anything happen to you!"

Luna wrapped her arms around Neville pulling him into a hug.

"Neville, please never leave me! I don't know what I'd do without you."

"Luna, I'm not going anywhere. I love you too much, to just leave."

They heard loud cheers, like the war was over. Had Harry defeated Lord Voldemort?

"It sounds like it's over… I hear cheering." Neville mumbled.

"I hear it too! Neville, we made it! We made it together!"

"Together. That's always been what I've wanted. Me. You. Together. Forever."

"That's all I've ever needed Neville." Luna whispered as she pressed her lips to Neville's once more.
