"That was really horrible what you did." Lily scowled, crossing her arms in front of her chest. "I should've hexed you to see how you liked it."
James gave a heavy frown. "Should haves won't get you anywhere, Evans." He said, thrusting his hands deep into his pockets and rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet. The boy seemed to be biting his lip absently.
"And you speak from experience?" She asked.
"Of course."
"What's something you should have done, then?" Lily challenged.
"I should've said I loved you." He answered before pressing his lips to hers.
