A/N- So this is something that randomly popped into my head. No, there isn't much humor in it, (there is some humor! At least to me, but then again I'm not that funny) I feel this is a serious issue that needs to be addressed.
Bakura= Yami Bakura/Thief King Bakura, Ryou= Ryou Bakura the hikari, they both have seperate bodies.
"Hey Bakura?" Ryou asked the former spirit as he walked into the room wearing a fedora.
"Yeah? Why are you wearing that?" Bakura glanced lazily over to his hikari who had taken a seat on the opposite side of the couch.
"I need to ask you something and I feel like a detective so I must wear a detective hat." Ryou stated. "But on to my question. So the Millennium Items were made using human souls right?"
"Uh-huh," Bakura answered, honestly curious to where this was leading. The cartoon that had his attention moments ago forgotten.
"And some priest used your village for sacrifices, right?" Ryou asked bluntly. The subject, surprisingly wasn't touchy, after all the thief wasn't about to start crying over something that happened that long ago. Now stabbing somebody for mocking, yes. But when taken seriously, the thief didn't all that mind talking about it. In fact, he liked to believe that helped to keep his village from being forgotten.
"Yeah," The yami confirmed.
"Then the ghosts of the people killed told you to get revenge."
"Yeah, you done with stating the obvious?" Bakura asked his own question rhetorically.
"Now my question is," Ryou began, about to say what he had been pondering.
Bakura muttered under his breath, "Took a lot of questions to get to the question."
"How could they be ghosts?" Ryou asked ignoring what the thief had said.
Bakura stared at Ryou like he was stupid for a bit as he sarcastically said, "Because they were dead," before continuing more seriously, "their hatred wouldn't allow them to move on to the afterlife."
"Yes, but..." Ryou dragged out the 'but' and raised his pointer finger in the air. "How could they be around if it was their souls used?"
He didn't seem to expect an answer yet because he let Bakura sit there under his curious gaze without saying a thing.
Ryou continued to speak, "When people lose their souls they fall into a coma like state where they have no consciousness, so without a soul or body how would the spirits be there? Or better yet, how could they communicate with you?"
Finished with sharing his reasoning, the smaller of the two intently studied the face of his other. Ryou did not receive an answer, as the yami only sat there in silence before he abruptly stood and left the room without a word.
A/N- Looks like Bakura's pride wouldn't let him admit Ryou has a point. Review and leave your side of the argument! Create a defense for Bakura, add some fuel to Ryou's evidence, or just say the most random thing you can think of. Try doing all of them! I do wonder who could think of the most random thing... but I digress. :D Who knows, if I feel this can possibly be continued it will be! I swear if there is more they will be funnier.
