Cream soon came down with the flu after she took care of Tails. It was now Tails' turn to take care of Cream. She worked hard to keep Cream comfortable and cool. Cream had littered tissues all over her bed as well as a bucket on her night stand. Tails looked in on her and it made her worried about Cream.
"Cream? Do you want me to get you anything to eat?" Tails asked.
"No thank you Tails, I'm not hungry," Cream said.
Cream grabbed another tissue and blew her nose. All this blowing her nose every five or ten minutes has gotten to the point where the skin was all dry and red. Tails felt really sorry for Cream but kept a positive attitude that Cream will feel better in a few days.
"I'd like some tea Tails," Cream said.
"Anything you want Cream," Tails said.
Tails went downstairs to make Cream some tea. She also put some crackers on a small plate so Cream can nibble on them when she does get hungry. After walking upstairs, Tails heard Cream throwing up in the bathroom. She set the tray on her bed and went into the bathroom to check on Cream. It startled Cream when Tails came up behind her and rubbed her back while she was still throwing up. After a few minutes, Cream stopped throwing up.
"Hey Tails," Cream said.
"Feeling better now Cream?" Tails asked.
"I'll be fine for now Tails," Cream said.
"Your tea is waiting for you on a tray," Tails said.
"Okay," Cream said.
Cream stood up and flushed the toilet and then washed her hands. After she was done in the bathroom, she went back in bed as Tails handed her a tray with a cup of tea and some crackers for later.
"Thank you Tails," Cream said.
"It was no problem, taking care of you is my thanks for taking care of me when I was sick," Tails said.
"I loved taking care of you Tails," Cream said.
After finishing her tea, Tails left the small plate of crackers on her night stand so Cream can nibble on them when she felt like eating. Cream fell asleep soon afterwards. Tails brought the tray down to the kitchen and set it on the counter beside the fridge.
"I'll do the dishes later," Tails said to herself.
A few minute later, the phone rang. Tails picked up the phone. It was Sonic on the other line.
"Hey Tails, wanna hang out for a while?" Sonic asked.
"I can't Sonic, Cream is sick and I need to keep an eye on her," Tails said.
"Does she have that flu that you had?" Sonic asked.
"Yes she does, but she's being really grown up about it, and she's sleeping right now," Tails said.
"Poor Cream, the others and I hope she feels better soon," Sonic said.
"Me too, she missed out on lots of things to take care of me when I was sick and then she got sick," Tails said.
"Bye Tails," Sonic said.
"Bye Sonic," Tails said.
Tails hung up the phone and walked over to sit on the couch and relax for a while. She soon dozed off for a few hours. Tails woke up from her nap a few hours later. She realized that Cream was still sleeping.
"At least she kept down her tea," Tails said to herself.
The next few days of looking after Cream really tired Tails out but in the end it was worth helping out a good friend. At the third day of her illness, Cream felt well enough to eat some cereal and sit at the kitchen table.
"How are you feeling Cream?" Tails asked.
"I'm better but I'm still tired," Cream said.
"I'm just glad you feel better," Tails said.
"Me too, all that throwing up and blowing my nose made me feel miserable and it was hard to stay positive," Cream said.
"I know how you must've felt," Tails said.
"Thanks for looking after me Tails," Cream said.
"Your welcome," Tails said.
A couple more days had passed and Cream was all better and was enjoying the time she missed from being sick.
