A/N: I really enjoyed Michael Shanks' role as Hawkman and PLEASE watch the ep before reading this, it's Lois mind but a missing scene as well. Also this is only the second Smallville fic I've written so I hope you enjoy it.

Falling.
Her eyes closed as the wind rushed past her with such a great speed. And then she felt a sharp jolt, something warm encased her, and then a THUD, but no splat. She was safe, but how?
It took a moment to get her bearings to realize she was wrapped tightly in Hawkman's wings, pulled closely to his chest.
She could hear that his breathing was labored, feel his blood under her fingers from his wound, and his heartbeat growing fainter with each beat.
'He's dying, because of me,' Lois' mind cried out. 'Hurry Clark, you have to help him.'
How could things have gone from good to bad so quickly?
Time seemed to drag on forever before Carter took a ragged breath and spoke the words, "Good... You're here... I have something for you..."
The wings spread and Clark was there. She hoped he'd made it in time.
