The Continuation Of...
It had been a mere month since the parting with his 'friend'.
Since his arduous progression toward decency, he lumbered on. For a month, enduring a period without excitement, trickery, foolery, or any form of mischief he could possibly inflict on the unsuspecting victim. Often, an adult. Which really, contradicts all instincts of his kind.
However, idolising his courageous, and spritely friend.. He felt an overwhelming determination.. To become a hero, at least for his standard.
Now, lumbering along, distant from Termina, and trecking across isolated flatlands. With a mucky Satchel in hand, that he had crafted long ago, and regularly used for travels. With friends; Tatl, and her brother, Tael:
"What's the point?" he complained, resting his worn legs, and falling face-first into the dirt.
"...", few seconds of silence followed, as both Tatl & Tael floated past, oblivious to all in exhaustion. Expecting attention of sorts, he raised his head, glaring at them. "E-HEM.", catching their attention. "Hmm?", they said in unison. "Friends are meant to listen to other friends!", he blared. "We are your friends Sk-!" said Tael, "This is far from the first time you've babbled on during this Journey!" interupted Tatl. Skull Kid then sat up, arms firmly crossed, and a rigid pout across his mug. "W-w.. Well.. Where do these Hero guys start anyway..?". The now irritant duo retreat to his side, Tael hovering nearby, in an attempt to delight the rigid Skull Kid, as an Indifferent Tatl trailed slowly behind him, carelessly. "During our adventures, the Green-Kid battled soooo many bad guys, did cool tricks, transformed, and even traveled through time.." said Tatl, glaring out into the dusky horizon, with a heap of apathy.
This discouraged Skull Kid, as his frigid pout, turned into a total frown. "..Stupid Hero-Kid.. And his stupid Music.. And his stupid Masks..", he murmured, lowering his head in gloom.
Startled by his distinct display of sadness(a rare occurance), Tael, in an attempt to settle him, nudged lightly against his crossed-arms. Then, as soon as Skull Kid loosened them, dove acutely into his algid, wooden palms. Though uncomfortable after such an intimate act of support.. An unfamiliar warmth began to engulf him. As Tael's radiant, glittery glow traveled from his palms, throughout his cold, wooden body. "Don't be sad Skull Kid! Anything he can do, you can do just as well! I know it." said Tatl. With little responce, besides an unenthusiastic smirk. "It'll just take time! I know it! I don't know how the little twit traveled through time.. Or transformed.. Or any of that nonsense.. But.. I'm sure Tael will help us out with that! Right Tael?" Tatl turned toward Tael, peeking from Skull Kids still cupped hands.
Skull Kid peered out, along with Tatl, into the pale horizon. "Tael..?", they said in unison, startled by her absense.
That's a little teaser. Let me know what you think and I shall continue to upload! Thank-you for reading.
