Hello all! I decided to post a little probably oneshot story that I wrote at dinner. If you like it tell me, if you don't, tell me still so I can do a better job next time. If you think I should continue I would love for your opinion!! For those of you who are awaiting the next installment of Dream Sequence I can assure you it will be up very soon!! Enjoy!!
Falling, falling into unknown depths. That was the only way to describe the way she felt. Sitting at her family's dining room table with nothing but him on her mind. He filled her head with thought, hopes; wishes that she believed would never come true. That she knew would never come true. Still, she sat there waiting for her phone to ring and maybe, just maybe; it would be him. But it never was. Her head fell to her hands as the music blared louder in her ears. One tear behind her eyes threatened to fall down her smooth porcelain cheek. It never did. She imagined his soft kisses, light and quick; his hard kisses, full and demanding; his hands, his face, his skin touching hers. She imagined the way he held her in his arms. She reminisced about the times they had spent together and broke a bit more inside. At least she currently occupied her own bedroom, in her house, and not her school where every girl could ask her why she had a lost or broken look on her face. Why she looked so upset. She would just show them a quick smile and assure them that nothing, if it seemed like it, was wrong with her. The song in hers ears changed to an even more upsetting one but she left it. She needed to get rid of her feelings before a parent came to tell her they needed to leave or she would be late.
The tear finally fell down her cheek and she didn't wipe it away. She didn't have time. More had decided to fall form her precious eyes and spilled one to her cheeks, dripping onto the table beneath her. She didn't try to stop them, she needed this, she needed these tears to fall. They were every feeling she had experienced for him every time they had gotten together. Maybe if she cried those they would leave and she could stop feeling for him completely. Another song came on, a rich voice filled her ears and she turned the ballad up louder. The phone sat on the table, waiting for her to turn it over, to see if he called back. She didn't touch it, she didn't dare. The voice in her ears cried out as the music slowed, the song was ending. The last few whispers of the singer clutched at her ears, begging the music not to leave, to stay forever. The song ended finally. Nothing followed. Silence erupted in he ears and it seemed louder the all of the songs that played. She wiped the tears from her eyes and reached for her music player to restart the desperately needed noise. The silence fled as she was encased by sound again. Her thoughts drifted back to him and how much her hurt her. How much she loved him for hurting her. How when she was around him she wasn't the strong, dominant, secure one, she was always the smaller one around him and she loved. She thought about how eccentric she really acted. How she couldn't like the normal, everyday men; she had to fall for the rough, controlling, bad boys and she always would fall hard for those kind of guys.
" Hermione sweetie, you're going to be late if we don't leave now!" her mother called from the kitchen.
" Alright mum, thanks." She replied mainly to herself. Reaching for her phone to check one last time to see if maybe she just hadn't heard due to the music, if maybe she hadn't been paying enough attention, and maybe just maybe he had actually called back.
Draco had never called back.
Thanks goes out to Gryffindor'SlytherinPrincess for helping with some decisions!!
