Author's Note: You know those ideas that just bug you until you write them? See, that's what this is. With the show coming back the Thursday, I've been in this sort of GSR-induced depression. Actually, it's more of a Sara induced one. I don't know, but I'm sure a lot of you have gone through, are going through, or will go through the same thing. That, or a combination of all three.

Anyway, I know it's been said that Sara will return at some point. Sure, it'll probably be for a visit, but it's nice to pretend, right? Well, with that in mind, I present you with this double-drabble. Yes, apparently I've been bit by the bug as well. Please leave me a review, they are very much appreciated!

If he ever had a chance to think back on it, he was fairly certain that he'd remember her smile the most. Grissom had been going over a file in his office, when the knock came at the door.

He'd wanted to spout off something about being busy, and to come back later. He'd never understand what it was that made him look up instead. Expecting to see Catherine standing there ready to give an update on a case, or Greg there to speak to him about something, he was surprised to find neither standing there. It took a second to fully sink in; for him to process that she was truly there.

She offered a smile with a slight shrug of her shoulder. She moved forward just an inch, as if her being there was the most normal thing in the world. The way she stood suggested that she was nervous, but her eyes showed nothing of the sort. Instead, they focused directly on his.

"Sara." The name fell from his lips as a statement more than a question. A thousand other words ran through his mind, but he was unable to utter them.

"Hello, Gilbert."
