Castiel couldn't do anything but to look at her. Her small lips and big grey eyes, her gold colored hair and freckled covered nose, this was the face he had once fallen from heaven for. He had given up everything for her, protected her with all he got and still it wasn't enough, he had failed and she was the one who had paid for it. Just the slightest look at her made him weep, seeing her suffer and knowing it's his fault… He would die a thousand times just to see her happy one last time. One last smile. One last laugh. One last look… He should never have fallen, he should never have gotten emotions, and he should never have meet her. Humans were supposed to be the week ones, they were the ones who should cry over something as small as another human. Not him! Not an angel. How could he have become so small, when did it happen, when did he fail? He rebelled, and he fell, and he thought it was the right thing, but it wasn't. He had died so many times already; one last time shouldn't make any difference.
Her breathing became heavier, he could hear it from where he sat in his fragile chair. He could see her struggle, he could see her cry, he could see her in pain, but he would never see her die. He would never let that happen, he may have failed one time, but he wouldn't let it happens once more. He got up to his feet, the shoulder he once had gotten an arrow through were still sore and made everything even more painful." The angel who fell, died for a human", the thought of it made him grin, no wonder how his brothers would react to this. But their opinion didn't really matter anymore, nothing did. Because he would die and she would live, and the world would once again be a place where humans are on earth, and angels' in heaven.
