Chapter One: The Prince.

The ocean smelled wonderful in the morning, something Izuku Midoriya always found himself being reminded of when he returned to the beach. The very same beach he had cleaned with his bare hands. Thinking back to that day Izuku sometimes thought about what his younger self would say if he knew what awaited him once All Might had blessed him with his powers. The things he would see and do. The things that would be done to him. The friends and the enemies he would make.
Friends like Iida, Todoroki, and Ochako as well as all his other classmates in Class 1-A. And enemies like the various members of the League of Villains, including the evil Tomura Shigaraki. Or the sinister Yakuza boss Overhaul.
It was a long and painful road but when he thought about what his younger self would say, he knew he'd still say yes to All Might's offer. Even though the trials he faced often left him broken, bleeding, and facing death, it was still worth it.
No matter what, he simply couldn't avoid the call to action whenever it arrived. But for now he wasn't too worried about villains for now. The League of Villains had been inactive for some time, though he knew they were most likely gathering strength still. As such Izuku focused on gaining strength of his own. Even if things had stabilized since All Might was forced to retire in his fierce battle with the evil All for One, things were still uneasy.
The former Number Two Hero Endeavor had managed to prove he had the strength and skill to effectively defend people and uphold their society. Perhaps not as great as All Might once could but it was respectable none the less.
As such Izuku had found himself able to focus more on his school work and the upcoming second year Sports Festival. He had come along way since the previous festival, this year he was sure to be better than before. To make a true mark on the world, and to make All Might proud, and display why he was destined to become the next Symbol of Peace.

The U.A Sports Festival was always something of a hassle for Aizawa. Especially the meetings of the staff. Usually he'd like nothing more than to just take an early rest. But he still acknowledged the importance of the Festival. How it displayed the power of U.A's students and how they had grown in their training. Though he didn't need the festival to show him how his own class had grown in strength. He'd seen it in the field, especially after they gained their provisional licenses.
Compared to that everything about the festival seemed insignificant. At least that's what he, and several of his peers thought. That was, as always, till Nezu threw them all threw a loop.

"We've got a great change for the Sports Festival this year," said the animal principal. "Apparently we've been asked to take in a late foreign transfer student as well as to change the venue for the event. The young man's academic scores are quite impressive to say the least. And his power is great enough to make quite an impression. But more than that this particular young man comes with certain...interest."

"It's just one student, what's all the fuss about?" asked Hound Dog.

Nezu passed around copies of the student's file and when the teachers opened and saw the young man's information all their eyes widened with shock.

"You've got to be kidding me!" shouted Present Mic.

"You don't mean that his father is going to be coming too do you?" asked Midnight.

"Oh yes, his father, his mother, and the entire court," said Nezu, in a rather amused voice. "In many ways this is the boy's grand debut. He's studied under private tutors his whole life but now he wishes to interact with other young people in a proper school setting. And of course his father is supporting him in this endeavor."

"More like taking advantage All Might's retirement," said Vlad King.

"Don't judge him too harshly," said Toshinori Yagi, the former Symbol of Peace, All Might. "True he might be...extreme but he is still a righteous hero in his own right."

"He makes that Bakugo boy look like the freaking Buddha," said Hound Dog. "And that's just his temper. His ambitions on the other hand...I don't know what to say about them."

"He's also been credited with ending several monstrous threats over the years," said All Might. "He deserves our respect. Besides he mellowed out after getting married and being a father surly must have done him some good."

"That's another thing, he's essentially hijacking our Sports Festival to flaunt his heir," said Aizawa.

"Isn't that part of the point of the Sports Festival?" asked Midnight.

"Also, I feel I should mention we are being strongly requested to comply," said Nezu. "For the sake of diplomatic relations."

"You mean we've been ordered to," said Ectoplasm.

"In a sense," said Nezu. "Oh and Aizawa, the young man has requested to be placed in your particular class."

"You're kidding right?" asked Aizawa.

"As you can see the boy has great potential and comes from fine stock," said Nezu.

"I'm not discounting that," said Aizawa. "But my class can be...trouble as you know."

"Then the kid should fit right in if he takes more after his father," said Vlad King.

Aizawa glared at Vlad and then looked back down to the file. The kid had a decent record and as Nezu said he came from fine stock. However the big issue was his father and the potential political intrigue from this entire set up.

"Have any of you thought about the message it would send if this boy won our Sports Festival?" asked Aizawa.

"I wont deny this does seem like a power play," said All Might. "But I have faith in our students and in the righteousness of a fellow hero. And despite however extreme he might be, he is a hero to many."

"One man's hero is another man's tyrant," said Hound Dog.

"And in some cases, maybe they're both," said Aizawa, grimacing at the file before him.

The following day began normally for Class A. Breakfast at their dorm before assembling at class. Needless to say they were all eager about the upcoming Sports Festival.

"I wonder if they'll use the same events this year," said Sero.

"I doubt it, they'll probably change it up a lot this year," said Kirishima. "After all we're all a lot stronger than we were last year."

"Indeed, we've all grown greatly as potential heroes since the last Sports Festival," said Iida, using his usual odd motions. "However this does not mean we can expect the competition to be easy and must not shirk form our training or study for one second."

'There goes Iida, serious as always,' thought Izuku.

"I hope Miss Ryukyu will be able to attend, ribbit" said Tsuyu.

"Yeah, it'd be great to show her how all her training paid off," said Ochako.

The two had a great deal of admiration for their work study mentor, the Dragoon Hero Ryukyu. Izuku admired the Number Nine hero as well, especially since she helped in the operation to rescue the little girl Eri from the dreaded villain Overhaul.
The same operation that claimed the life of his mentor, Sir Nighteye. As such Izuku hadn't gone that further in work study, focusing more on his class work. In truth thinking about the incident, about Overhaul, what had been done to Eri, and how Izuku's friend the upperclassman Mirio Togata had lost his powers, still weighed heavy on his soul.

"Alright, settle down everyone," said Aizawa, entering the classroom.

Izuku noticed how there was another young man in tow behind his teacher, followed by a barrel chested man with a spiked shell on his back, a spike on his nose, and spiked up grey hair. The young man, dressed in a U. A student's uniform, had several distinct features about him. Spiky black hair as well as grey reptilian scales along his the bridge of his nose, eyes which were a deep color blue, claws for hands and feet, as well as a grey tail with small spikes on the back.

"Everyone, I know you're all getting ready for this years Sports Festival and on that subject it should be noted that several changes are being made," said Aizawa. "This is primarily due to our newest student here. If you would please introduce yourself."

"Hello," said the young man. "I am Prince Minya of the nation of Gigantis, son and heir of the great king Gojira."

That news caught the entire class's attention and excitement.

"Wow...you're a prince," cried Mina in excitement. "That's so cool."

"Even royalty wants to go to U.A. how impressive," said Iida.

"The legendary monster hero Gojira? That's your father?" cried Izuku, freaking out a bit.

"You guys are probably going to think I'm an idiot for asking this but...who's Gojira?" asked Kaminari.

"We already knew you were an idiot," said Jirou. "Seriously, how can you not know who Gojira is?"

Minya tensed upon hearing of Kaminari's ignorance of his father, but the man at his side gave him a look which caused him to noticed this and drew the class's attention to him using his Quirk, making sure to catch the prince in his gaze. He then set up a projector and began giving an impromptu lecture about the history of Gojira and the Kingdom of Gigantis. He decided to start with the former and the image of a tall man with long, dark spiky hair and similar dragon-like features as Minya but with a darker shade.

"Fist we'll start with Gojira, for those of you who don't know, Gojira is a former Japanese Pro Hero," said Aizawa. "His quirk is a unique blend of emitter, mutation, and gigantification. Combining all three he can take the form of an incredibly powerful dinosaur-like monster. Not unlike the Dragoon Hero Ryukyu, but much larger and more powerful."

The image changed to show Gojira in his monster form, displaying his size and measurements to the class.

"No way, he's huge," cried Ojiro.

"That's way bigger than Mr. Lady," said Mineta.

"May I continue?" asked Aizawa, his glare frightening both students into silence. "Very good, in addition to this Quirk causing his great size, Gojira's Quirk allows him to process nuclear energy. He can use this energy as a means to power his transformation, as well as give him superhuman strength, accelerated healing, and release it in the form of radioactive fire from his breath. In both his base form and his atomic monster form. What this should tell you all is that Gojira is a force to be reckoned with. And since you'll be competing with and against his son, expect similar from the prince."

The whole class looked at their new member with wide eyes, just trying to comprehend the gap in power between them all. Among them Bakugo sneered violently at the prospect of another rival who might dare be stronger than he is.

"Now, as for the Kingdom of Gigantis, once again it all starts with Gojira," said Aizawa. "As a pro hero Gojira's record had great results in terms of threats and villains he dealt with. His career extends far beyond All Might and most modern pros and retired pros. Thanks to his power his aging is extremely slow. During the time Gojira was a pro in Japan, much like All Might he developed a reputation that had villains hesitant to commit crimes. However, he was not what one might call a Symbol of Peace."

Minya narrowed his eyes at Aizawa for that sentence.

"Gojira had a reputation in Japan...as a villain killer," said Aizawa.

That sent a shock throughout the class, the idea of heroes being killers unthinkable to them.

"Gojira was ruthless in battle and any villain whom he came across usually wound up slain by him," said Aizawa. "This made him quite a controversial hero at the time, some other pros and civilians actually even decrying him as a villain himself for his ruthless attitude. But a considerable number of citizens found Gojira's methods to be necessary and his results justifying them. The divide was great enough that the government often did very little to reign Gojira in. But by the time All Might began to rise and became established as the Symbol of Peace, Gojira's methods were seen as extreme. Rather than be forced to answer for what he considered to be righteous actions, Gojira and a considerable number of allies who held similar Quirks to his own left Japan and renounced their citizenship. This is where we come to the origins of Gigantis."

The next image that filled the screen at the front of the class was of a large island with a great city built on it, with several ancient structures along with the modern.

"Formerly the long thought uninhabited Infant Island, the nation now known as Gigantis became truly established when Gojira and his followers made landfall on the island," said Aizawa. "However it wasn't as uninhabited as once believed."

Another new image graced the screen. The image of a beautiful woman with large moth wings, antennae, white and orange hair, and beautiful blue compact insect-like eyes. Her attire was a long blue kimono with two insect like arms shown coming from the sides of her belly beneath her human arms and legs. The last of which were displayed quite well, much of Mineta's delight.
Of course the drooling of Class A's resident pervert didn't escape the gaze of Minya. In one sweeping motion he grabbed Mineta by the throat and began to chock him.

"How dare you gaze at my mother in such manner?" roared Minya.

"My prince, please," said Anguirus. "He isn't worth it."

Minya growled but one the less released Mineta, earning more than a few intimidated glares from the rest of the class.

'I knew this would happen,' thought Aizawa.

"Yes, this is Mothra, the Queen of Gigantis and the original ruler of Infant Island before Gojira landed on is shores," said Aizawa. "She remains an...enigma of sorts. Her Quirk is unknown aside from the obvious features that would indicate a mutation Quirk. However she appears to have power of energy manipulation, psychic ability, and other powers that so far can only be classified as...supernatural. The exact details of life on Infant Island before Gojira is uncertain or how the initial meeting between Mothra and Gojira went down. However what we do know is that now she serves as the Queen of the nation of Gigantis and is married to Gojira who reigns as King. His word is law and is absolute on Gigantis and its primary export is heroes rented out by foreign nations that have insufficient heroes of their own. However Gigantis has also been known to aid in humanitarian efforts in combating world hunger and poverty, most likely under the direction of Queen Mothra. The United Nations has also often contracted heroes from Gigantis to help resolve international conflicts. Cracking down on international arms smuggling, human trafficking, and various other global crimes. Some third world nations have gone on to be come official protectorates of Gigantis and have come to consider Gojira their true monarch despite officially being independent nations. This has led to no small amount of controversy about Gojira himself, again. Many see Gojira as a bringer of peace and a pillar of strength. Others see him as an opportunistic tyrant who takes advantage of the chaos in other nations in order to secure more power for himself and the nation of Gigantis. "

Minya clenched his fists, which Izuku and many others noticed.

"Anyway, that should be enough of the history lesson," said Aizawa, hitting the lights. "Any questions?"

Iida, predictably was the first to raise his hand.

"Yes Iida?" asked Aizawa.

"Exactly what does all of this have to do with the Sports Festival, not to insult the prince?" asked Iida.

"This is in the hopes of securing better relations between Japan and Gigantis," said Anguirus. "Gigantis is the child of Japan, a child that left out of anger and resentment and now seeks to make amends and have a new relationship. So think of your upcoming Sports Festival as a shining beacon for international brotherhood. Within the spirit of friendly competition."

Bakugo grunted but said nothing, merely eyeing this new competition that came to his home turf. The others however were quite enthralled at this concept and the introduction of the prince. Izuku took a glimpse at Aizawa's frustrated face and felt that there was something else going on.

"How fortuitous, to make great strides in the cause of international brotherhood and to display the strength of future heroes," said Iida. "Truly this will be a Festival to remember."

"Yeah but I doubt our chances will be all that great against the prince," said Todoroki. "Even my father has stressed how heroes from Gigantis are not to be underestimated. Gojira especially, saying that he might even be more powerful than All Might used to be. So you can imagine how his son must be."

As the rest of his classmates muttered about the recent announcements Izuku was multitasking. Eating in one hand and going over one of his notebooks with the other. Specifically the one he had made detailing all he had ever studied about the controversial Monster Hero-King.

"Excuse me," a voice said, bringing Izuku out of his focus.

All eyes at the table looked up to see the prince and his guard both holding trays of food.

"May we sit with you all?" asked Minya. "It makes sense since we are supposed to be classmates."

"Of course," said Iida, standing up right with amazing speed. "As Class Representative I formally invite you to dine with us your highness."

"That's...really not necessary," said Minya as he and Anguirus took their seats. "And please, I hope you all can accept my apology for my outburst in your classroom. It was unbecoming of a guest let alone a prince."

"The little pervert deserved it," said Jirou. "Any of us would have done it if it were our mother's he was leering at."

"If anything it is us who should apologize to you," said Momo. "I hope you don't feel we're all as rude as Mineta."

"No, please simply try and think of me as another student," said Minya.

"Kind of hard to do when you have your own bodyguard following you around school," said Sero.

"He's got you there your highness," said Anguirus with a hearty laugh.

The entire class seated at the table laughed as well, save Izuku who quickly took notice of how other students were staring at them.

"You noticed it too eh," said Minya, locking eyes with Izuku.

"Oh, I guess," said Izuku. "They've just never seen royalty I guess."

"Indeed, yet another thing the great and glorious Class A gets to lord over us all," said the ever annoying Monoma, peering his head over to the group. "You must all think you're quite special having a prince have to ask to join your class. Though with all your luck you'll start and international incident and Gojira will declare war on our country and we'll all end up dying. Everyone knows that glorified dictator been hoping to get his claws into Japan after getting forced out years ago."

As Monoma laughed a clawed fist met with his face, forcing him to the ground. All the students, from all the classes looked on in shock as Minya loomed over Monoma with his eyes and hair glowing hot blue and humming like a turbine engine.

"You dare mock my father," yelled Minya, the humming getting louder and louder by the second.

'I've read about this, it's the hum that is supposed to happen whenever Gojira uses his ultimate move: Atomic Breath,' thought Izuku, fearful at the thought of such an attack being unleashed in the school.

But all were saved when Anguirus delivered a swift chop to the back Minya's neck, rendering him unconscious. He caught his prince in his arms and gave a respectful bow to Class A.

"I believe the prince still has some unpacking to do at your dormitories," said Anguirus. "Thank you for your hospitality."

The pro then carried the prince off leaving the students to process what had happened.

"Damn, that was intense," said Saito.

"I don't remember being so scared," said Kaminari.

"Yeah but still...it was kind of cool," said Mina.

"Ashido, we should not consider fighting in school to be cool no matter the supposed justification," said Iida.

"You don't think he was really going to attack Monoma for real do you?" asked Ochako.

"It sure looked like it, ribbit, ribbit," said Tsuyu.

Other students began muttering about the incident while Izuku was actually quite silent, watching Anguirus carry Minya away.

"It's only been one day and we've had two near incidents," said Aizawa. "I want to reiterate that this was a bad idea."

"Perhaps, but still these are official orders we can't refuse them," said Midnight. "All we can do is try and keep things under control until the Sports Festival."

"And Anguirus has promised to have a word with the prince to keep him in line," said All Might. "I understand your frustration Aizawa but this is still our golden opportunity for better relations with Gigantis and with Gojira."

"So the boy merely gets a slap on the wrist for assaulting two students?" asked Vlad.

"That's diplomatic immunity for you Vladdy boy," said Mic.

"Still the kid's got a temper on him," said Hound Dog. "That could cause problems with other students even before the Sports Festival begins."

"That's still an issue," said Aizawa. "If the boy wins the Sports Festival it's going to be Gojira declaring to the whole world that Japan's top hero school's students can't compete against his own heir. It's an effective way of sewing seeds of doubt in our nation's heroes. Enough that perhaps our own people will be hoping our allies on Gigantis will be willing to lend a hand in keeping the peace."

"Don't you think you're being a little paranoid?" asked All Might.

"If you don't think that this is Gojira's endgame then you're more than a little naive," said Aizawa. "Besides, one thing is for sure, this has got all the students riled up for sure."

"What was I supposed to do Anguirus, he insulted my father, your king, in front of me," said Minya.

"That he did, but your response was wildly inappropriate," said Anguirus. "The opinions of such a small man as he mean nothing to a man like your father. As they should mean nothing to you. Further more you made the entire incident very awkward for those whom you yourself chose to be your classmates. Tonight when they return to the dorm you shall ask their forgiveness. Never forget you are their guest and as they have already been tested in battle whereas you have yet to be they are deserving of your respect."

"Yes, Anguirus," said Minya.

Although he was the prince of Gigantis, Minya had nothing but respect for Anguirus. He had long been a staunch ally of his father and was one of his favorite tutors. As such, per the command of his father the king, Minya was to respect and obey commands that Anguirus gave him. These were orders that Minya intended to obey to a fault.

"Though, if anything your father would have crushed that little purple shit and made him into wine," said Anguirus. "He would be proud of how you rushed to the defense of the Queen's honor. That being said you must learn to control your temper my prince."

"Yes, Anguirus," said Minya.

"I also encourage you to try and befriend your new classmates" said Anguirus. "Though soon they will be your rivals in competition it is good to have friendly connections. They, just like you, are the future and if we wish there to be a bright future for both Japan and Gigantis, we must have good relations."

"I understand Anguirus," said Minya. "I will make this right for the good of Gigantis and for the honor of my father, long may he reign."

"Long may he reign," said Anguirus. "Besides, by the time the Sports Festival begins and your father arrives I doubt anyone will be willing to slander him, or the Queen, within his earshot."

When Izuku was first going to compete in the Sports Festival he had talked with All Might about what it meant for him in his journey as a hero. Now they did so again only Izuku believed that this wasn't about the Festival itself.

"I understand there had been some trouble between Young Minya and some of the other students," said All Might as he poured the tea. "Though I'm honestly surprised Young Bakugo wasn't the cause."

"Kacchan doesn't seem to be eager to cause a fight, at least not until the Sports Festival," said Izuku.

"A wise choice," said All Might. "Anyway, I'm sure you must know more than your fair share about Gojira's history and the rocky history Japan has with Gigantis."

"Yeah, Gojira was always one of the heroes I liked to study about," said Izuku.

"So you consider him a hero?" asked All Might.

"Well...he has helped stop some really terrible threats and he's helped protect other nations where their heroes are undermanned," said Izuku. "So...I suppose that makes him a hero. Though...I have heard other things."

"Like how he would more than often kill the villains he came across," said All Might. "It's true Gojira has a rather extreme form of justice but before I became the Symbol of Peace more often than not that kind of justice was necessary against more extreme villains. Even All for One would keep a safe distance from Gojira. But when I arrived on the scene and things began to change attitudes towards Gojira began to shift. Some believe him leaving was because he had been forcibly exiled by the government. They'd long had issues with Gojira and had trouble reigning him in. Of course the real shock came from when he established his own nation and declared himself king. Needless to say it got more than a few people in office steamed at the whole thing. Even more when people from other nations began flocking to him and how he remade his agency into an international force. While you cannot deny the good that he's done, what really frightens people is the power he's amassed. He's a ruthless hero with an incredibly powerful Quirk and furthermore he's the leader of his own nation with influence that has only been able to grow over the years. Especially influence in other nations thanks to leasing out his heroes. In truth it's actually quite brilliant but there in lies what makes so many people nervous about Gojira. He's what politicians have been fearing ever since Quriks became more mainstream, let alone heroes. The idea that a hero with a significantly powerful Quirk, and the legitimacy granted to him by the will of the populace, would declare himself the ruler."

"But what does that have to do with Minya or the Sports Festival?" asked Izuku.

"There is a bit of a fear that Gojira is using Minya and the Sports Festival as a means of sewing bad faith for Japan's future," said All Might. "Our hero society has already been fairly shaken since my retirement and faith in other heroes to keep the peace has been shaky at best. No denying Endeavor has done his best to stabilize the country but still crime is on a rise. Gojira has been able to make Gigantis such a prosperous nation buy effectively profiting on the chaos of nations in which crime is out of control and their local heroes aren't able to cope with the sheer amount of it. Our best hope at a stable future for this nation is in you, the next generation coming up as an army of heroes ready to face the challenges and defend the people from evil. If a single hero from Gigantis is able to defeat you all, some of our best and most powerful prospects from Japan's Number One hero school, it sends a message. Even more powerful a message if it is Gojira's son and heir who defeats you. Effectively it's a declaration of his power and the power of Gigantis and causes our people to have doubts about your potential effectiveness as heroes."

Izuku's eyes widened at the notion.

"So...so he's using his son as a means to assert influence in Japanese Hero Society?" asked Izuku.

"At least that's the cynical analysis," said All Might. "It's fairly understandable given how Gojira has done what many governments have been wary of for a long time now. Be the hero who declared himself king, and claiming absolute authority. They fear him trying to gain new influence in our society is his way of bringing Japan under his control, effectively making our democracy meaningless if the people refer to him as their authority and protector. As it stands now Gojira has everything he needs to officially seize control of several nations and declare Gigantis as an Empire. The only reason he hasn't is up for debate. A lot of people credit that to his wife, Queen Mothra. Gojira was always known for having a fierce temper and unbridled ambition but since he married he's been more level headed. Much of the good press Gigantis receives is largely due to Mothra's instance on humanitarian efforts. In fact she's the one whose often more diplomatic than her husband. So the other possibility for Young Minya's attendance here is to try and build good relations between Japan and Gigantis."

"What do you believe?" asked Izuku.

"I believe Gojira wants now what he wanted then, order," said All Might. "He is harsh and often unforgiving as a hero but it comes from a desire to stamp out chaos. He believes that order is the key to bringing about greatness in the world. But he doesn't necessarily consider people's happiness to be a factor in establishing peace. But I don't want you to worry about all this politics. In truth it should have no place in the Sports Festival. You should focus on doing your best and proving that our future is in good hands. But if I must ask one thing of you Young Midoriya, it is that you try and make friends with Young Minya. If there is any true fact in all of this, it is that both you and Young Minya are the future of both Japan and Gigantis. You are to be our next Symbol of Peace and he is to be the future King of Gigantis, this can be a great test for both of you. To become the Symbol of Peace that means having to forge peace between other nations as well as within your own. That is the true prize of this festival beyond mere victory."

Izuku hung on All Might's words and contemplated them. He hadn't previously considered what becoming the Symbol of Peace would mean on an international level, focusing so much on keeping peace domestically.
He did have some mixed feelings about Minya but considering how he considered Kacchan at least somewhat of a friend he believed it wouldn't be that much of a stretch to befriend the prince.

By the time classes were over and the students returned to the dorm they all saw Minya, in casual attire sitting down in the middle of the common room with Anguirus standing at the back with his arms crossed.

"I ask for your forgiveness for earlier," said Minya, bowing to the class. "I reacted poorly and I realize I may have made things very awkward for you all because of it."

The entire class stood in an awkward silence, not sure how to respond after the various incidents of the day. Even Iida seemed somewhat hesitant to speak. Izuku thought about the nervousness of his classmates and the sad tone in Minya's voice. He also thought about what All Might would do in such a situation. Taking the initiative he stepped forward to the prince and offered his hand.
Minya looked up and saw the smile on Izuku's face and found it somewhat puzzling at first. But ultimately he took Izuku's hand in his own and allowed the fellow hero in training to help him to his feet.

"That's just life for the heroes of Class A," said Izuku, with a chuckle. "We're always getting in some kind of trouble while we're here."

From where the others stood Ochako couldn't help but smile at how Izuku, Deku to her, had been the first of them to accept the prince's apology despite the awkwardness of the day.
Other members of the class seemed to follow in and it almost seemed as if the incident at lunch didn't happen at all. Mineta quickly ran up to his bedroom though, which no one minded.

"You're apology is of course accepted Minya, though I hope you will refrain from fighting with fellow students in the future," said Iida. "We must all set an example of order and peace if any of us are to become worthy heroes."

"Of course," said Minya. "I should no better though than to get into fights with lesser men like that Monoma person. It was unbecoming of a future hero, let alone a future king. As further atonement allow me to volunteer Anguirus as a trainer for the upcoming Festival."

"Oh, you don't have to do that," said Izuku.

"Nonsense," said Anguirus. "It would be an honor."

"Sweet, we get tutoring from a hero from Gigantis," said Kirishima. "Those guys are some of the strongest in the world."

"And my father is the strongest in Gigantis," said Minya. "If you'd like I'm sure he wouldn't mind me introducing you all to him when he comes."

"GOJIRA'S COMING HERE?" the entire class shouted in surprise.

"Yes, as well as my mother and the whole royal court of Gigantis," said Minya, plainly. "They wish to support me."

As the rest of his classmates murmured about the excitement of seeing the legendary, if not controversial hero-king, Izuku recalled what All Might had said earlier. He had promised that he'd do his best to befriend Minya, but he needed to be clear about the prince's own intentions.

"By the way, why is it that you wanted to compete in the Sports Festival?" asked Izuku, quickly gaining everyone's attention.

"What do you mean?" asked Minya.

"I mean, the Sports Festival is often used as a way for us to get scouted by agencies so we can one day be Pro Heroes. To make a future for ourselves," said Izuku. "But in a lot of ways your situation is different. Your the heir to your father's throne, no matter what your future is already secured as the future king. It just doesn't seem like you have much of a need to prove yourself."

Everyone in his class kept silent when Izuku finished and focused on the prince, curious as to what his response would be. To their surprise Minya's expression hadn't changed, almost as if he was expecting this kind of question.

"While I am destined to succeed my father, I do need to prove myself," said Minya. "Perhaps even more than all of you do. Because as King my word will be law and I shall be the ultimate authority in Gigantis. As such I must demonstrate that I have the power to back up said authority. In truth this is to demonstrate that I can meet whatever challenge comes my way. I chose the U.A Sports Festival because in both cases we are similar in that regard. Also, because I had been taught by private tutors my whole life I have not had much true competition in Gigantis. Here, on this foreign land I have the opportunity for true competition, to prove that I am worthy of the throne for more than just being my father's son."

Minya's calm and reasoned response impressed the class in both how it was reasoned and the passion he had in his voice.

"In many ways I believe I actually do have more riding on this than any of you do, though I mean no offense," said Minya.

"I'll say, we may be trying to be heroes but you're going to be a freaking king," said Kaminari.

"I can't even begin to imagine how much pressure that must put on you," said Tokoyami.

"It is a burden but I am determined to meet it," said Minya. "I also chose this class specifically because you've all proven your strength not only in the previous Sports Festival but in the fact that several of you have fought in the field of battle. I however have not yet had that honor. As such there is a significant advantage you all have over me, thus increasing the challenge."

"I suppose that makes sense, we've seen more action than most other students," said Ojiro.

"We do tend to stand out a lot," said Tooru, the sleeves of her uniform flailing to show her excitement.

Anguirus chuckled from where he stood, these kids were a lively bunch that was too be sure. He then noticed how a certain blonde student with a nasty look on his face began to walk past him to go up to the rooms. When he crossed Anguirus he stopped and shot a glance at the pro.

"Hey, you fought with the royal brat's old man right?" asked the boy, Bakugo.

"Many times," said Anguirus, paying the boy's candid manner no mind.

"Is he really as tough as people say?" asked Bakugo.

"I'm not one to justify rumor and legend but I know I have no intention of ever finding out for myself," said Anguirus. "At least not again, but if you're really curious of the prince's strength in relation to his father, there's only one way you'll find out son. May the best man win."

"I intend to," Bakugo growled.

Anguirus couldn't help but chuckle. That boy clearly had fury in his soul, not unlike his old friend. He then turned back to the prince and how he seemed to be getting along well with the students of U.A.
He could tell that this whole experience was going to be interesting, to say the least, for all parties.

Author's Note: First off for those who might be wondering why this isn't in the crossover section, I'm not entirely considering this a crossover. One because I'm essentially fitting Godzilla into the world of 'My Hero Academia' (the anime of which is also worked on by Toho, as evident by the little reference to Big G in 'Two Heroes'). And Two, this way it gets a little more attention. Also I've noticed how other MHA fan writers have done similar things with DC and Marvel characters so I hope everyone is cool with this.
Anyway, I've had a story like this in mind for months but was largely inspired to make it as is after seeing Godzilla: King of the Monsters (don't listen to the critics). Also I wanted to do a better Godzilla story than the last time I tried so this was a golden opportunity for me. Not to mention I was interested in the idea of how world politics might work in MHA. How do Quirks effect the super-powers of the world, something like that. So there was this perfect scenario, Godzilla (I'm using his original name here) is both a controversial hero and world leader, I felt that would make for an interesting story. Also, a fun test for the true nerds out there, where does the name Gigantis come and how does it fit in Godzilla's history?
Anyway, I hope to have the next chapter up soon enough and don't think this is just going to be a tournament arc, there's much more going to be happening when Gojira comes to Japan.

Next Time: The King.
