Chapter 01

Gotham City

"I'm sending you to San Francisco to join the Teen Titans." Bruce Wayne aka the Batman spoke.

Bruce was in full uniform though his cowl was on the desk beside the Bat computer.

"The Titans are Nightwing's territory." came the voice of Damian Wayne, Bruce Wayne's son.

"They were he is moving to Bludhaven and with me being in the League it's just easier to have you working with a team. If you ever want to take my place as Batman you will need to know how to work on a team, a team you trust." Bruce explained.

"Who will be on this team?" Damian asked.

Damian like his father was in full uniform.

"Well there will be Superman's Cousin Supergirl, Wonder Woman's Niece Wonder Girl, Dr. Fate's protege Raven, and a girl Starfire found who's name I don't know." Bruce replied to his son.

"How do you not know her name?" Damian asked genuinely curious it was rare that his father didn't know something.

"The girl appeared on the steps of Titan's Tower seeking refuge not much is known about her the only thing we know for sure is that she's a meta human with pyrokinesis. I'm guessing that she just recently discovered her powers and with no where else to turn she turned to the titans she will be new to the whole crime fighting world. Son I am trusting you to teach her along with the other titans, oh and you will be the team leader once Starfire moves to Bludhaven with Dick. But Remember Damian a good leader doesn't just give the orders he is more than that the leader supports his team and guides them when they need guidance a leader is far more than just being the one to give orders anyone can give orders but a true leader bonds with those he leads I learned that shortly after I got a team of my own." Bruce explained to his son giving him tips on how to be a good leader.

"Why are you trusting me with the titans?" Damian asked.

"Because if you ever want to take my place as Batman you will need to know how to be a leader there are three leaders of the JLA Me, Superman, and Wonder Woman and trust me you will need to know how to be a leader if you want to fill that role." Bruce replied. "Now get some sleep you leave for San Francisco in the morning it's a long ride."

"Yes Father." Damian said as he headed into the mansion to get some sleep.

Titans Tower, San Francisco, California

After two days of riding on his bike Damian which was in its civilian mode as Damian was traveling in his civilian clothes not wanting to draw attention to himself by traveling as Robin. Damian stopped in an alley and changed into his uniform and packed his civilian clothes into his bag and hit the button on his bike to change it into the Robin Bike everyone in Gotham knew. A short while after changing he arrived at Titans Tower as Robin and parked his bike in the garage that was surprisingly open and walked into the tower.

Robin entered the base floor and saw a picture of all the honorable Titans present and past he noticed five blank frame indicating that his team would be filling them once they all got settled in. Robin walked to the elevator and hit the call button and waited for it to come down. Robin's mind was on the Mystery girl, the unknown, the variable in their team he knew of the others he had heard how well they worked with their mentors but this new girl that Starfire found was a complete mystery to him and from what he heard she was new to being a crime fighter and all he knew was that she was a pyrokinetic.

When the elevator dinged and opened before him Robin walked forward and leaned against the back rail after hitting the button for the common area. Robin knew the layout well enough he had studying the maps of the tower that Dick had left for him before he even left for the trip. Robin assumed that everyone would be in the common area from what he was told he was going to be the last to arrive at the tower, what he didn't know was whether or not he would be meeting everyone in uniform or in their regular clothes.

The Elevator dinged once more signalling his arrival on the common area floor when the doors opened Robin saw a rather large living room with a large couch and a number of chairs and several book shelves and two or three tvs each one one of them on and being used. One tv had the local news standard in almost every place that housed crime fighters, one was being used for a video game and the other was just regular tv. In the living room were Starfire who Robin knew from her visits to Gotham with Dick, a girl with blonde hair dressed in a red tank top and blue jeans, a girl with dark violet hair wearing a leotard with grey leggings underneath reading a book, another blond wearing a light blue leotard with a red skirt and cape, and lastly a girl with dark brown hair and hazel green eyes wearing a black t shirt and camouflage cargo pants, clearly a civilian.

Robin stepped off the elevator into the common area with his duffle bag slung over his shoulder and coughed once to get someone's attention which worked as Starfire was the one to turn her head.

"Oh Robin welcome Nightwing said you would be arriving today come in and meet the rest of your team." Starfire was as she flew over to greet him.

Robin walked further into the common area as the others in the room walked over to where he was standing.

Starfire spoke once again when the other teens were all over by Robin. "First we have Wonder Girl, second is Raven, then Supergirl, and lastly Alyce Darkholme she doesn't have a superhero name yet."

"A pleasure to meet you all I am Robin." the boy wonder said.

"If you choose to let the others know your secret identity you are allowed as we are not always in uniform. And Robin I know Batman said you will be leading this team which is true but until I leave you will follow my orders." Starfire said.

"I know. So where can I drop off my gear?" Robin asked.

"Go to the living quarters and pick any of the empty rooms you will know the rooms that are taken as they will have the symbol each of your teams use to identify themselves with." Starfire replied.

After Robin settled into his room and set up his laptop he made a quick skype call to his father and reported in that he arrived in San Francisco safely. Once that was done Robin decided it was time to learn about the the one girl he knew nothing about, Alyce. Returning to the common area Robin found Alyce watching the news and asked if she would join him for a more private chat in the training room which the girl agreed to.

"I need to know more about you if you are going to be on this team i need to know what you can do." Robin said once the two were in the training room.

"I'm a pyrokinetic." Alyce said hesitantly.

"But that not all you are is it?" Robin asked.

"Why would you say that?" replied Alyce.

"You hesitated for a slight moment and you looked to the left slightly." Robin pointed out. "I know you are a pyro I'm not doubting that but I need to know your full capabilities."

"My full capabilities are dangerous." Alyce spoke looking down. "I can't control them and to be honest they scare me."

"Then we help you learn to control them." Robin encouraged.

"It's not that easy Robin." Alyce replied.

"How come?" Robin questioned the girl.

"Please don't make me tell you Robin." Alyce pleaded with the future team leader.

Robin nodded he knew from his father that a good leader doesn't force his team to do something. "Alright I won't press the issue but please tell me when you are ready I can't help you unless I know the full extent of your powers. If we are to help you control them then we need to know what we are helping you control."

"I'll tell you eventually Robin just not right now." Alyce said.

"That's all I ask Alyce now how bout we find you a good code name?" Robin asked with a slight smirk turning his attention to her lack of code name.

"Abyss." Alyce said firmly.

"Why Abyss?" questioned Robin.

Alyce saw a training dummy and called forth her flames in the palm of each hand were purple flames with black edges. Focusing on the dummy Alyce shot a single blast from her left hand at the dummy.

"The fire I use comes from the Abyss not Heaven not Hell but the Abyss it's a spiritual form of fire like holy fire and hell fire. And Like the other two simple water won't put it out but it can be put out with a lack of oxygen or when it runs out of fuel and holy water will put it out as will sand as the sand will suffocate it." Alyce explained.

"Alright then Abyss it is come on let's get back to the others." Robin said to the newly dubbed Abyss.

"Right." Alyce now Abyss said in agreement.

Later that night Raven was meditating when she felt a strange darkness that disrupted her meditations. Deciding to follow the feeling she came to Alyce's room. With a knock on the door raven waited until the door opened on its own. With the door open Raven cold feel the full extent of the darkness, a demon.

Raven walked into the room seeing Alyce on her bed sleeping but above Alyce was a shadow which turned to face Raven before suddenly vanishing as Alyce woke up.

"Raven why are you in my room?" Alyce asked

"I felt a great darkness I came to investigate." Raven replied. "Alyce a demon seems to have latched onto you."

"It's not latched onto me. It is me." Alyce said with a sigh she didn't want to say this while she was still so new to the team.

"Can you explain it please i won't tell the others but I can help you I know something about being a demon myself." Raven asked.

"My Father is the Dragon's Sin of Wrath the Dragon of Ragnarok. He is both a dragon and a demon a very powerful demon one of Satan's Generals. Sixteen years ago my father managed to get onto the material plane of earth. However before he was banished back into the depths of hell he had managed to seduce and give seed to a woman, my mother. My mother never knew his true form or name she knew him as Meliodas what his true name is I don't know, but all my life i have been plagued by the demonic half i can't control my demon form which is why i don't use it. The only thing I use is my pyrokinesis." Alyce explained to Raven.

"Meditation helps me control my powers. If you would like i can teach you some meditation techniques." Raven offered.

"My mother believed my father wasn't truly evil once he found her. My mother studies dragons and said that once a dragon finds someone to love then they bind themselves to that person and will do everything in their power to say with that person and protect them. My mother thinks that once i find my life partner my demon side will be easier to control." Alyce explained her mother's theory. "But maybe meditation can help."

"Your mother studies Dragons?" Raven asked.

"Yes she is often away from home on her travels trying to find them they tend to stay hidden from humans due to humans fearing them and trying to kill said dragons. Due to her research she is never home so I don't get to see her very often but when my powers developed she knew how to handle it. She is the reason I joined the Teen Titans." Alyce explained.

"Seems as though you got lucky." Raven said.

"I did if people knew about my demon form i would have suffered at the hands of the church probably burned at the stake or at least they would have tried turns out i'm fireproof." Alyce said slightly amused.

"That's useful, but it's getting late I should go." Raven said.

"Alright night Raven." Alyce said as Raven left the room.

Author's Note: Most characters in this story are age 16 and older. I chose this age for any sexual content that may be in this story, while there will be no sex between any one over 21 and a minor we all know that teens have sex, though that will not be the main focus of this story. While sex will be a thing it's not the main focus of the story. If you don't like occasional sex in a story don't read it that simple, you have been warned about any sexual content in this story.
