This mission was not quite on my "Dangerously Crazy, Need a Vacation Afterwards" Assignment list but, It came VERY close to that category.

After the crazy guy "teleported" out of the room I lunged for one of the SopearGunn prototypes. Shooting at the energy core of the giant SopearGunn bomb, contraption, thing I hoped I had read the blue prints right. Thankfully, it didn't detonate but, it made a black hole that sucked the huge SopearGunn bomb out of the room with a few other things. The second it started to go I dropped the prototype, grabbed Steve, and pulled his shield up so that none of the shrapnel flying around could hit us. For once I was grateful that he was tied up really well.

After things had calmed down, I looked up to the ceiling in relief. It lasted for only a second. Embedded in the ceiling was a bloody piece of shrapnel. I turned and looked at Steve, around his head like a sickening halo, was blood. I hadn't been quick enough in protecting him. I failed to look after my team member and captain. An avenger was dead because of me. For seven awful seconds my mind played dead. Then Steve opened his eyes.

I must have passed out at that point because I woke up in another hospital like room that had pretty much started this whole mess. I freaked completely out.
