Nicki's POV

Nicki Jackson slumped against the bench by the bus stop. The weather perfectly matched her mood. Cloudy, gray, but not yet raining. Nicki at least was alone. She

had finally convinced her parents that a 14 year old is perfectly capable of catching the bus to camp, especially when said girl carries a sword. Nicki glanced over at

the two sitting at the other end of the bench. They were probably a mother and son. The boy was around her age, and pretty cute. The guy had brown eyes and

straight, short dark brown hair that stuck out on the front, kinda like a 14 year old Liam Hemsworth from the Hunger Games. The lady, probably his mom, also had

straight brown hair. She kept glancing over and fiddling with her purse nervously. Finally she looked over and asked anxiously, "Do you know what time the bus gets

here? My son and I are doing some sightseeing around the city." Nicki checked her watch. "It should get here in about 20 minutes." Never let it be said I'm not polite.

Her son smiled and asked, "Do you know any good pizza places?" "Adam, don't bother her!" his mom chided. "S' okay," replied Nicki,"... uh most places are good but

Marciano's is the best I know of." "Cool," the guy, Adam I guess, said with a grin. Suddenly our attention was diverted by a man and his daughter, who were

approaching the bench. The guy was talking on a phone, "Ok Ellen, we'll met you and the boys at the stop, try and get here before the bus comes." "Or don't," the

girl muttered. Nicki held in a laugh at the girl's comment. Clearly there were some issues there. Nicki shivered and drew her black leather jacket closer, it was getting

colder. Then the girl plopped down next to Nicki with a sigh. "Sorry bout that," girl said exasperatedly, "Hi I'm Jen by the way." Jen was actually very pretty with long

wavy brown hair and green eyes, wearing some girly shirt and a black skirt. She made Nicki feel underdressed with her ripped jeans, blue ripped shirt under a leather

jacket. They were pretty much opposites, what with Nicki's shoulder length curly blonde hair and blue-green eyes, not to mention her two cartilage piercings. At least

Jen seemed friendly. "Jeez," Jen complained," Is it always so cold in New York during the summer?" Adam chimed in, "Yeah, you'd think it was Alaska." Nicki frowned,

"No it's not usually this cold." What if there was a monster, she thought with paranoia. At least Alec isn't here, she thought with a rush of relief, Mom's taking him to

camp after work. Immediately after that, the explosions started and things got really weird.

Hey thanks for reading. If you didn't get it, Nicki is the daughter of Percabeth and also is a powerful demigod. She's smart but can control water, as you'll see later. She is 14 and has a 9 year old brother, Alec. Hope you liked it, I have a plot line for the story, and I know what's going to happen with the characters, but I would love if you guys gave me ideas, especially about what monsters to fight.
