Thanks so much everybody! All the awesome reviews that I have gotten really made my day. A while back, I received a review on my Harriet Potter story that suggested that Harry enter another dimension, and become a girl. Thank you so much for the great inspiration! I really hope you all like it! (

Chapter 1: The Summer Before

Harry was sitting on a bench outside the Dursley's house, swinging his feet and looking around the garden. As bored as he was, Harry had already finished all of his summer assignments and then some. Well at least Harry had one happy thought: early in the year, Dudley had been expelled from Smeltings for throwing a particularly violent tantrum, in which he threw one of his scrawnier classmates out of a second story window.

The boy had been just fine, except for a few slightly broken bones his Aunt and Uncle protested, entirely convinced that it had in no way been their perfect son's fault. He had obviously been provoked, they argued with the headmaster, but it was too late, he had made his decision; Dudley would not be returning to Smeltings. Next term, Dudley would be attending the local public school.

Meanwhile, Harry's nightmares were growing increasingly worse. Now, he dreamed not only of his parent's death, but of his encounter with Voldemort in his 4th year…and Cedric. And his scar had been hurting on a daily basis, something that frightened Harry, because he feared that Voldemort was growing stronger. Dumbledore had obviously thought the same, because he had insisted that Harry remain at the Dursleys the entire summer, assuring Harry that he had perfectly valid reasons that he would one day understand.

"They'll tell me when I'm old enough," Harry muttered to himself, "Well when's that going to be? Why can't they just tell me? I'm old enough! He killed my parents! I have a right to know everything they do!" This was exactly what he had been saying all summer. He could be seen sitting by Hedwig's cage for hours telling her about how unfair it was. Once in a while Hedwig would give Harry an understanding hoot and ruffle her wings maternally. Harry had sent letters to Ron, Hermione, and even Sirius, about the exact same thing.

But however bothered he was by this, he really could not wait to return to Hogwarts. Things at the Dursley's had been extremely boring. They hadn't bothered him all summer, something that Harry was very thankful for, but it did make for a boring summer. Harry did not know how he had gotten through all the days between the end of his 4th year and now. He had only 4 more days.

This year, the Weasley's were going to be picking him up. However, they planned to use the muggle way, and pick him up with cars from the ministry to…er…avoid any further mishaps.
