After what happened in the episode with the circus I'm just going to assume that Conner and Roy don't get along very well. This is after insecurity, so Wally is mad. But I'm not mentioning Zatanna, because I know she's friends with Artemis but I have a hard time writing her. Robin and Roy are friends, but Robin let's say Robin became friends more with Artemis over the time on the team when Roy wasn't around. And Artemis is a little OOC because she feels upset and betrayed after the mission in Insecurity. I'M SO SORRY! I haven't updated in forever! And I don't have a valid excuse..

It went wrong, very wrong. Recon, go in, observe, and report back. But one factor was misplaced, this is the team and the team's recon missions are never recon in the end. Inside the Bioship six members sat around, one member drove, and one member was in a make shift med bay while unconscious. 2/3 of the group not unconscious was worried about their team member, but the other 1/3 sat with their arms crossed since they barely registered her as part of the team. The silence stretched until they reached the mountain.

"Kid bring Artemis to the med bay." Aqualad said once they landed. Wally let out a huff.

"No way am I touching her." Aqualad glared at him.

"I don't care what happened on the mission two weeks ago, but the problem here is that Artemis needs help. Take her to the med bay." Wally stalked off without the female archer, but the male one following. Aqualad growled at Wally's retreating form (A/N: I know Kaldur is OOC, but a mission just went wrong and Wally has been acting like this for a while.)

"I'll take her." Conner picked up the small frame on the table and made a run to the mountain. After unloading a shipment they intercepted they went to check on their friend. Black Canary and Dr. Fate flanked Artemis on the white cot.

"How is she?" Megan asked

"She is okay." Dr. Fate and Zatarra's voice mashed with each other. "I managed to get rid of most of the effects of Klariton's spell, although Artemis will have the inability to lie." Robin cringed, he knew about Artemis' past and it isn't something that should be found out this way. Black Canary caught his eye and gesture to Artemis. Yes Robin was going to make sure Artemis' secret didn't get out. Robin went into the hallway of rooms while Megan and Conner took Wolf and Sphere out for a walk. Meanwhile Aqualad reported to Batman about the mission.

"In Bialya we ran into some soldiers that were carrying a shipment of the blockbuster formula that we have in the hanger. But during the mission Sportsmaster spotted Miss Martian and our hiding spots were compromised. We fought and made them retreat, but Klariton shot some magic at Kid Flash and Artemis pushed him out of the way. According to Black Canary and Dr. Fate she will be okay." Aqualad explained. Batman nodded as he typed up the report and left soon after.

Robin instantly went to Wally's room after he made sure Artemis was going to be alright. He waited at the door and heard Roy's voice as well, they were talking about Artemis. He instantly opened the door without bothering to knock.

"Dude don't you know how to knock?" Wally yelled at the ninja. Robin wasn't in a good mood with the way Wally has been acting. Wally had refused to pair up with Artemis for anything, and when he was forced he completely abandoned her and blamed her after. Robin gritted his teeth and Wally took note of that. "You okay Rob?"

"I'm fine, but Artemis isn't." Roy scoffed to the young boy's proclaiment.

"That traitor doesn't matter, right Wally." Roy looked at the other red head that had the same look of disgust on his face.

"Yeah why should I care about her?" Robin glared at both of his old friends.

"Because she's your teammate." Robin threw his hands up in the air. "She saved your life, she won't let you get away with anything, she's your friend, and you know she's your Spitfire." Robin named off.

"Not much of a teammate if she doesn't trust us. Besides I'm a speedster, I could recover from Klariton faster than her." Before,Robin asked Dr. Fate what kind of magic it was and told Wally.

"That blast was meant for a speedster. It would have killed you, but with Dr. Fate's help it makes a human tell the truth." Wally's face turned hard.

"So?" Robin wanted to yell at the boy more, but stomped out of the room in intent to beat a punching bag. When he ventured closer grunts and hit were already going on. Megan and Conner are still out, Kaldur mentioned something about King Orin needing help, and Wally and Roy are still in Wally's room, so that left.

"Lighten up, that bag didn't do anything Artemis." Robin leaned on the doorway his distress replaced with joy (A/N: I looked it up when auto correct didn't correct 'tress' and turns out it means a lock of a woman's hair, so that didn't work). The recovered archer grinned at the colorful boy.

"It didn't give me advice." She said half joking.

"About Wally?"

"Yes." Blurted out of her mouth. She cringed at the magic. "I know Dinah told me when I woke up." Robin went to the bench press and added some weights.

"I know your secrets." He stated.

"Why am I not surprised." The words were light, but Artemis' tone was hard.

"I know Roy will want to get answers out while you're in this state." Robin slid beneath the pole. "But I'm going to help you keep your secret."

"Why?" Artemis switched to jogging on the treadmill next to Robin.

"Because you should tell the team, but on your own will." They worked out together in silence until dinner.

Piles of food were spread out on the island for people to grab, while the team sat at the table. Only there are six seats, Aqualad at one head, Robin across, Conner on his right, Megan next to him, Wally across, and Artemis next to him. Only this time Roy was here, and to Wally's request the two boys sat next to each other. Artemis glared, but didn't say anything and opted to eat in her room. The rest of the team felt awkward because while Wally thanked Megan for the meal (and flirted of course) the archer next to him didn't hit the speedster, or complain about the amount of food he eats. It was Artemis' turn to wash the dishes so she had to come out. A comment about a maid from Roy caused an outburst in the kitchen.

"Shut up you have no idea what I've been through!" Artemis yelled at the other archer.

"Then what have you been through?" He shouted back. Artemis could have said it was worse that he could imagine, but one problem.

"An abusive father and runaway sister!" Artemis instantly bit her finger.

"I bet you deserved it." Roy sneered as he walked away. Artemis didn't say anything in retaliation, she was too afraid of what else she might say.

"Artemis?" Megan looked at the frozen girl. Said girl blinked a couple times.

"C-can someone switch shifts with me?" Robin volunteered while Artemis went home.

"Robin what did Artemis mean?" Aqualad asked his friend.

"I- I can't tell you, it's not my place." Robin focused on the dishes in the soapy water.

"What if it's vital to the team?" Roy was back in the room, this time Wally was standing next to him.

"Trust me, it's big but won't make a difference." Robin didn't want to let out anything he knows.

"If it's big I think it's important, maybe it leads her to being the mole." The team hasn't talked about the mole for a month now. It almost tore the team apart so Wally mentioning it and Artemis' secret made the team grimace.

"We have concluded that there is no mole and whatever Artemis' secret is won't affect that conclusion." Kaldur stated. Wally crossed his arms.

"Since when did you start acting like Roy?" Anger laced Conner's voice as he looked at Wally.

"I'm not acting like him, I just understand that Artemis can't be trusted." Wally faced the clone.

"Sure, all you need is to abandon the team and go solo. Besides what's not to trust about the girl who saved your life?" Conner was fond of the archer, she taught him ways to control his anger and some fighting techniques. He wanted to know where she learned everything from, but when he asked her she asked him to drop it. He respected her privacy and did.

"I've seen her fight, most of those moves are deadly. Don't tell me that isn't suspicious." The team had a light argument and stormed off to their rooms for the night.

Black Canary was absent for training due to a mission gone wrong and Batman trusted the teens to train on their own. Robin worked on weight training, Conner was at the pool, Kaldur ran on the treadmill, Megan meditated in a corner for her telepathic powers, Roy watched the sparring match, and Wally and Artemis sparred. Wally didn't bother with jokes, bets, or complaints. His face only showed hatred making the girl wince. He didn't hold back, but Artemis did. She wished she didn't have to spar him, but after her third fail she focused in. She charged at him. He ducked and aimed for her gut that she protected with her leg. Wally used his foot to unbalance Artemis' other foot, but while he tried Artemis did the same and tumbled away to recover her fall. Wally however didn't recover and the words 'Fail' sat next to him.

"Where'd you learn that?" Wally's voice was still hard.

"Black Canary." Stupid magic.

"What about your other training?" Roy was trying to pry answers out of Artemis in her weakened state.

"Dad." She tried to not talk. Artemis tried to casually go to the training room, but was stopped by the bystander. He made sure Artemis stayed in the arena in a posture that resembled. "You trying to be a mugger"

"Who exactly is your dad." Roy ignored her other comment. Artemis bit her lip so she wouldn't say anything, but the magic was winning. She opened her mouth. 'Thump!' Robin had Artemis on the ground and his gloved hand prevented her from talking.

"That was close." Robin sighed. He let go of Artemis soon after.

"Thanks." He helped her up.

"I promised right?" He grinned at her.

"What was that Robin?!" Roy was mad at the bird. Robin frowned at the cause of the problem.

"You shouldn't be making her answer, she'll tell us on her own time." Robin took Artemis to the training room where the rest of the team waited.

"You okay Artemis?" Megan placed a hand on her shoulder. Artemis nodded her head. The rest of the team wanted to know her secret but accepted Artemis will tell them eventually.

"You aren't asking me about last night?" Artemis tilted her head.

"Robin explained to us you have a secret, but you would tell us when the time is right." Kaldur explained. Artemis smiled at the bird.

"Stop doing me favors, I don't want to be in debt to you." Robin grinned at her.

"Next time I come back from a grueling patrol give me a massage and we'll call it even." Artemis shook his hand.

"We can go out for ice cream after training." Conner suggested. The part of the team not angry at Artemis agreed.

They did and didn't tell the other two redheads. At the store the team browsed through the choices and occasionally sampled some.

"What do you want guys?" Robin asked while he looked at the choices over his shades.

"Vanilla." Conner.

"Bubble gum." Megan

"Cotton candy." Kaldur.

"Vanilla and chocolate, but I can just have chocolate." Artemis quickly added in when she realized her selfishness.

"Too bad Artemis you're getting both. And I'll have a rocky road." Robin paid the man and the team sat outside in the summer heat (A/N: I know Insecurity wasn't in summer, but work with me. It's midnight right now and I'm giggling like a fan girl, over nothing.) They gently licked the frozen delight and mumbled a 'thanks' to the buyer. They ate for a little and decided on going back.

"Wait." Artemis ran back into the store and came back with a gallon of chocolate chip cookie dough. They glanced at the bucket, but didn't talk about it. They went back to the cave and were 2/3 done with their food.

"Wait you guys got ice cream without me?" Wally had a look of betrayal on his face.

"Don't worry Wally I got you this." Megan gave Wally the gallon tub as Artemis asked.

"Thanks Megalitious." He flashed a grin and dug into the melting tub. "My favorite, how did you know? At least some people on this team think about others." Wally flashed a glare at Artemis.

"Actually Artemis got it for you." Megan said once she caught the sad look on the archer's face. Wally dropped the spoon he was using.

"Megan I told you not to tell him. Just let him eat it." Artemis whispered. A flash of pity formed on Wally's face, but quickly disappeared.

"How did you know I like this flavor?" Was all Wally said.

"You mentioned it during the mission with the drugs in the ice cream." Artemis studied the pattern on the granite.

"Wasn't that one of your first missions?" Conner asked after he finished the cone. "At least after the whole scientist killing."

"Yeah." Artemis made her way to the hallway connected to the bed rooms.

Wally didn't stop eating like the team expected, in fact he finished the tub. And then Roy came running in with an accomplished smile, and an angry Artemis.

"Roy don't you dare." Artemis shouted after the older man. He didn't stop until he was in front of us.

"Artemis is-"the blonde arched tackled the red haired one. "Get off." Roy grunted.

"Robin help." Artemis pleaded. Robin noticed her tone and the look in her eye. He took out a knock out gas pellet and broke it in front of his old friend's nose. Artemis leaped away and Roy's form slumped.

"What the heck Rob!" Wally set his friend on the couch. Unknown to him Megan set up a link to make a quick plan.

"Wally I know Robin's secret ID." Conner said. Robin's eyes opened beneath his shades.

"Con you can't tell anyone." Wally was frozen next to Roy.

"No, I'm going to tell everyone else."

"Conner you can't! That secret is his life, don't tell everyone! It isn't your place to tell." Wally franticly ranted. Conner crossed his arms.

"Fine, for you."

"Wally do you want to know Artemis' secret?" Robin asked.

"Robin don't." Artemis paled and reached out to stop the boy wonder.

"Yeah." Wally was still shaken from Conner, but was interested never less.

"I can't. That secret is her life and I won't tell everyone. It isn't my place to tell." Robin mimicked Wally's speech. Wally slumped to the ground in realization. "You back to normal?" Robin crouched next to his best friend.

"Yeah, sorry Rob." Wally mumbled.

"I'm not the one you should be apologizing to." Robin glanced back to quiet archer.

"I'm afraid I might make her ego bigger than it already is." Wally held a grin on his face.

"You shouldn't be talking. I saw your room, it's filled with Kid Flash figurines." Artemis shot right back.

"I never thought I would be so happy to see them fight." Kaldur smiled. The two argued more until Roy started to groan. They forgot about him.

"Wally, you have to hear this about Artemis-"Roy started once he came to.

"Don't bother, only Artemis should be able to tell us her secret." Wally cut him off. Bewilderment crossed the waking archers face.

"What the heck happened while I was out?" Roy clutched his head.

"I learned that Artemis has secret and it's important to her. And if she wants to tell us then she can. When and how she wants." Wally looked into Artemis' gray eyes. And their hands laced together.

"Really." Roy snorted. "She's the one who took my spot on the team." Roy pointed out.

"No, you rejected the offer. Artemis merely stepped in and filled a spot we needed. Then you decided to come back in and demand the first archer spot. Do you even know my name?" Conner shot at Roy. Roy scrunched up his face.

"It starts with a C." Roy said.

"That's not good enough. Last mission you hit me with an exploding arrow because you didn't know I always distract the enhanced monsters." Conner pointed out.

"You never mentioned that." Kaldur was surprised. Roy gave up and stomped to his room like a three year old that didn't get a dog. And Artemis called the team to the main room.

"I know you'll be fine with waiting, but I owe you." Artemis pulled up Sportsmaster, Cheshire, and Huntress who had a retired stamp on it. "My dad is Sportsmaster, my sister is Cheshire, and my mom is the ex con Huntress." Artemis explained. "On a mission for the shadows my mom broke her legs and went to jail while my dad 'trained', as he called it but it was really abuse, my sister and I. Jade ran away soon and I waited for my mom to come back. When she did she got rid of him and I joined the team shortly after." Artemis clutched on her sleeve and watched the floor, bracing for any comments.

"Robin was correct it is big, but doesn't make a difference." Kaldur smiled. Artemis peaked up.

"I knew all along." Robin stated making Artemis snort.

"I'm going to make sure he has a slow and painful death." Megan decided with a pure smile, easily shocking everyone.

"You can't pick your parents, but you can choose the path you take." Conner remembered back at Cadmus, he didn't choose to be Superman's clone and bred to destroy the world. But he did decide to help instead of hurt. The group turned to Wally who hasn't said anything.

"Your mom scared him off." Wally showed a goofy grin making Artemis laugh.

"Y-yeah, she kicked him out." Artemis explained once she recovered.

"Well now I know where you get your spirit from, and you hair color which still make no sense." Wally cocked his head and his eyes followed the golden strands. Artemis snorted and shoved the speedster. "I'm not letting you up just because you had a crappy child hood." Artemis grabbed the front of his shirt and kissed him. The faint taste of vanilla, chocolate, and cookie dough mixed flavors and tasted sweet in their mouths. Too soon she pulled away and whispered.

"I hope not." She laughed at his red cheeks and gave each member of the team a hug (minus Roy since he stormed off) "Thanks for understanding. I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want to be rejected, I wanted to fit in and be a normal teenager."

"One problem, we live a double life as teenagers and superheroes. We aren't normal." Robin grinned.

"So our team is made up of an atlantean, clone, Martian, ninja, speedster, hot headed archer, and a girl who did not follow her family ties. I agree with Robin, we are not normal." Kaldur smiled at the blonde. "But I will admit if I knew this in the beginning I would have tried to get you off the team, I deeply apologize." Kaldur bowed to her.

"Kal you're only doing your job, there's nothing to be sorry about." Artemis reassured the Atlantean. The announcement of the arrival of Batman cut off their happy meeting. Batman walked in dressed in all black and called for Roy.

"Roy, we want you to join the Justice League." Batman told the older boy. He crossed his arms.

"About time." He muttered.

"Wait, how come he gets to join? Rob and I have been working as long as him, Robin longer." Wally was confused.

"Then you can join too." Batman replied much to the shock of the team. Both boys glanced back to the members who made up the rest of their wonderful team.

"No thanks, I'll pass." Robin announced. The thirteen year old backed into the team. "I'm comfortable with my place on this team. Besides, Artemis owes me a massage." The female archer lightly shoved him.

"Ditto, minus the massage. Unless-"

"No way Baywatch." Artemis cut Wally off.

"Then, it's settled." Batman left with a flash of light. Roy turned back to the smiling team. He didn't know why he was trying so hard to break them up. Watching Artemis and Wally yell at each other, Megan and Superboy helping each other, Kaldur trying to keep the two teenagers from killing each other, and Robin finding blackmail material. Roy punched the cave wall, shocking the team.

"Roy you oka-"

"No I'm not!" He shouted, cutting off whoever was talking.

"We understand you are upset that Artemis has a higher place on the team then you but-"

"It's not that!" Kaldur flinched at his tone. "I-I don't hate Artemis." Artemis seemed to be ready to say a comeback, but she held herself back when she realized the other archer wasn't in the mood for games. "For some reason I keep trying to break you guys up. I don't know why. I don't hate Artemis, I like watching all of you hang out, but I don't know why I keep trying to break you up!" Roy pounded the wall again.

"Roy calm down, I could read your mind and figure out." Megan suggested. Roy fell to the floor.

"Okay." He whispered. Megan's eyes glowed green and soon she broke away with a gasp.

"Roy, you're a clone." A series of yells sounded out and Megan waited for the noises to disappear. "Cadmus created you and Sportsmaster used a trigger word to immobilize you while he fed you information and got updates on our team." Roy's eyes widened.

"I-I was the mole." Everything became clear to him. "And I kept trying to blame Artemis. I'm sorry."

"You aren't in control, and I agree with Megan. I'm going to make sure he has a slow and painful death." Artemis said with a small smile.

"But if he is a clone, where is the original Roy." Robin asked.

"I-I don't know." Megan said. "They never told Roy. I guess they did what they do to every original source." The team went quiet.

"No, this can't be happening." Roy stood up and backed to the zeta tubes. He punched in a random destination and left before Wally could catch him.

So what happens to Roy is the same thing in the actual series and I couldn't explain that. I don't have anything against Roy now, because let's admit it he was a jerk for the whole first season. I feel bad for him because he learns that he is a clone, but Wally and Dick try to convince him that he is the Roy they know. I just needed Roy to act like that. So I added the little ending to show I don't hate him, I hope it worked.
