DISCLAIMER: Don't own nothin'.
This story was made to remember all those who died fighting against Voldemort. Mostly, it's in order of when they died, but I change the last few, because I wanted Remus to be last. Even thoughPeter Pettigrew kind of saved them, I didn't put him in here, because i hate him. Slight twist at the end.
In memory of James Potter,
Who died first,
And who lives on through his son, and grandson,
Who's set to be a reincarnation of his trouble-making self.
In memory of Lily Potter,
Whose love restored happiness to the wizarding world,
Your sacrifice saved the lives of thousands,
And your lasting kindness made countless more smile.
In memory of Cedric Diggory,
Whose sense of fair play was his undoing,
But who died in all the bravery of a Gryffindor,
You make Hufflepuff look a bit less like losers.
In memory of Sirius Black,
Whose hidden suffering is greater than possibly imaginable,
A rebel combined with role-model,
Give Bellatrix a good kick up the arse, will you?
In memory of Albus Dumbledore,
Who actually did have a plan all along,
Who really was working for the greater good,
Your wisdom guides us all.
In memory of Hedwig,
Harry's first friend,
The one who stopped him going nuts during the summer,
And who was so smart we actually thought you were Dumbledore's Animagus.
In memory of Alastor Moody,
The greatest of the Aurors.
'Constant vigilance' kept Harry alive, but scared the crap out of the rest of us,
We know you're really a big softie deep, deep, deep down.
In memory of Dobby,
A free elf,
You actually saved Harry's life this time,
And we'll always remember you showing Lucius whose boss.
In memory of Colin Creevey,
Who stuck to Harry like glue,
Your pictures are your everlasting memory,
Forever remembered as Voldemort's innocent victim.
In memory of Nymphadora Tonks,
Who would curse me for using her first name,
Who loved a man for more than looks, youth and wealth,
Your bubble-gum hair is a symbol of happiness to us all.
In memory of Fred Weasley,
Whose jokes and smile lit up the world,
And as you live on through your soulmate and twin,
Rest assured we shall continue your noble work.
In memory of Severus Snape,
Who fooled us right until the end,
Whose love never faded,
Who lived and died a braver man than many Gryffindors can say.
In memory of Remus Lupin,
The last true Marauder,
Finally reunited with his friends, forever with his true love,
The wisdom, compassion and caring nature lives on forever.
And to all those witches, wizards, Muggles, and creatures who fought, suffered and died in the fight against Lord Voldemort. We remember you.
Oh, and in memory of Merope Gaunt,
Who inadvertently fucked up the wizarding world.
