A New Generation of Ducks

Chapter 1: Introduction

It was a cool winter day in Minneapolis, Minnesota and while most people were inside drinking hot chocolate by the fire, there was a certain group of kids that were thinking otherwise. To them it was the perfect weather to play a pick-up hockey game on the frozen pond in the park.

This wasn't just any group of kids either, each one was special and each had a "duck" parent, or in some cases two.

"Nice shot Baby Cake-Eater, but you're gonna have to do better than that if you wanna score on me!" Kevin Banks yelled, taunting his younger twin sister Allison.

"Oh shut up Fish!" she yelled back.

There is another Banks in the family, his name is Tanner, and he also plays on the team.

"Come on K-Dog, leave your sister along," Peter Conway said to Kevin, sticking up for his best friend and girlfriend.

"Whatever spazway whatever," he said back.

"Oh great, here we go again!!" Jordan Mendoza yelled as he flew into a snow bank. I guess you could say he inherited his fathers skating skills.

"Johnny will you quit horsing around and pass the puck already?" Chris Averman yelled to Johnny Robertson.

"Sure V-man, whatever you say dude."

"Shit dude, you've got a shot like your dad. I'm glad that I'm on your team and not the one attempting to block your shots in real games," Robert Goldberg exclaimed to Tyler Reed.

"Katie Germaine has the puck ready for the shot and, ohh strike one!" Chris said acting as a commentator.

"You don't shut your mouth Averman and I'll take a strike to your head with my hockey stick!" she threatened.

"Geeze Kev, your girlfriend sure is violent," Jason Wu pointed out.

"Yeah, but she's not nearly as violent as Cody," Kevin replied talking about Cody Portman.

"Sometimes I wonder man, sometimes I wonder."

These kids have been best friends since they were little "ducklings." They've grown up together and have played hockey together their entire lives. Never have they played on different teams.

Their Recreation Coach, Gordon Bombay is like a grandfather to them, part of the family as well as their High School Coach, Ted Orion.

All of their parents are still best friends too. They're always together, like a flock.

All of these families have been through everything together, thinking they've been through and done it all. What they don't know is that there's plenty more in store for this flock of ducks.

I've never written a Mighty Ducks fanfic before, I've always done High School Musical. I just started to watch the Mighty Ducks movies again this past weekend and got this idea for a story. I know right now it's not much of an idea, it's more of an introduction to the main characters, and families but hopefully it will be good. I'm already working on the first real chapter. Hopefully you'll like it.

Review's are always appreciated.
