Rock-Paper-Scissors
He looked at her. She looked at him. In an instant, an unspoken rule had been broken. His eyes narrowed, his face full of self-disgust as he gazed at the ground. Her eyes lit up, an expression of triumph, a joyful grin, as she cast her eyes skyward.
"I did it," she whispered to herself. "I beat Naru!"
He frowned. He looked decidedly unhappy with the universe. How could he have lost? It was simple. He should have won easily. She was so predictable; he'd always been right about her before.
The monk leaning against the office wall laughed at their opposite reactions.
"That's what you get Naru, for challenging a clairvoyant to rock-paper-scissors."
He looked away from the monk, and proceeded to the kitchen, where there was tea to be made, by his own hands. Why did paper beat rock anyway?
A/N: And then Naru had to make tea for everyone. :P
Review please? :3 Explain why paper beats rock?
