Author's Note: YAY!!! I'm not dead!!!! Sorry it's been a while, but all of my notes on ALL of my fanfics have been lost because my computer is stupid like that, so now I have to go back and look at what I've done so far and try to remember where I wanted it to go and what happens next. Plus, schoolwork has kept me extremely busy the past few months, but I'll try and update as soon as I can!!

Toshiro sighed. Ever since Ichigo Kurasaki and his friends had left the Soul Society, there had been nothing to do except worry over where Ichimaru, Aizen and Tousen had got to, and on top of that, there was all the paperwork to clear anyone else under suspicion. He leant back in his chair and stretched, the paperwork for the day was done and Rangiku came in to relieve him for the night.
"Sir?" She asked
"Yes, Matsumoto, what is it?" Toshiro enquired
"It's Captain Ukitake, sir, he doesn't seem to be acting right today"
"Ukitake? Captain of squad 13?"
"Yes, that's the one"
Toshiro rubbed his dazzling green eyes and heaved a heavy sigh.
"As long as he's not gone totally crazy, he'll be fine" the short captain of squad 10 replied as he ran his hand through his naturally untidy, white hair. "Goodnight, Matsumoto"
"Goodnight sir," The tall and busty lieutenant replied, her strawberry blonde hair cascading in waves down her back.
Toshiro had only been walking for a few minutes when he saw the tall captain of squad 13 walking towards him. Sure, Ukitake fell ill quite often, but today he seemed cheerful and full of life.
"Ah, Toshiro, just the man I was looking for!" Ukitake smiled.
"Really? What did you want with me?"
Ukitake's chocolate eyes lit up immediately. From out of what seemed like nowhere, he produced a large amount of candy and pushed in front of Toshiro.
"You're a child, so you must like sweets!" Ukitake trilled.
Toshiro sweat-dropped. Rangiku was right, there was something wrong with Ukitake today. Wait a second... Toshiro thought, it suddenly dawned on him what Ukitake just said.
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING SO SMALL THEY LOOK LIKE THEY COULD BE IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND SHOULDN'T EVEN BE A SHINIGAMI EVEN THOUGH THEY'RE EIGHTTEEN AND PASSED ALL THE TESTS?!" He fumed. Ukitake laughed and walked off, leaving behind a stunned, yet angry, Toshiro Hitsugaya.
