In The Name Of Romance
Casey came home to the soft glow of candles, and the smell of her favorite take out dinner. She smiled at the effort that Derek had put into make this day special. She hated that she had to work on their first anniversary as a married couple, a Saturday no less, but Derek had made sure that it was nice for both of them.
Casey set down her purse and slipped off her jacket, hanging it in the hall closet. She then took a few steps to turn into the dinning room. Derek was sitting at the table, plates already made up, and candles lit around the room. When he saw her come in, he scrambled to stand up and pulled out her chair.
Casey sat down, smiling. "This looks lovely."
"I'm glad you like it. Happy Anniversary, Casey." Derek responded as he sat down across from her.
"Happy Anniversary, Derek." Casey reciprocated, then she sniffed the air. "Did you buy scented candles?"
Derek shrugged, "All in the name of romance."
