Prank Testing

Fred and George enjoyed experimenting with spells and items for their new joke products. They liked the loud BOOM of something going wrong and exploding and the bright feeling of success as what they had experimented with had worked as they expected it to or produced a good result.

They had enjoyed the effect of their sweets on the muggle bboy that had been cruel to Harry while he had lived with his relatives. It had been Fred's idea to trip and entice the fat lard into stealing one of their sweets. George had been looking for someone to test the sweets on as no one else in the Burrow had been willing to touch anything of theirs the entire holiday which made them jump at the opportunity to visit the muggles Harry lived with.

The utter havoc that the entire family had caused upon arriving in the muggle house had made both Fred and George laugh gleefully within their minds. It had been extremely difficult to refrain from visibly laughing as they saw the state of shock on the muggle's faces as they arrived with the wall opposite them blown to shreds. When they had gone to fetch Harry's trunk and Hedwig, they had allowed all their laughter to come out when they were securely within the room the muggles had given Harry.

They were hoping for a similar reaction towards their newly developing product. It was a swamp that could be enlarged anywhere. They were planning on taking it to Hogwarts with them and use it in Snape's dungeons and near the Slytherin Common Room. The experiments were working well so far and were rather difficult to remove if the right incantation was not used before clearing the swamp out. Fred had gone out again to check if anything had managed to get out of their room. It was supposed to be a surprise but some of the quagmire usually ended up either just outside their door or outside their window. That was one of the things they were currently working on.

"Hey George," Fred shouted through the window, "It's quagmire, yeah, it's caught in the window this time."

George sighed. Nasty little bugger, that was always the most difficult place to clean. Hopefully the joy of seeing Snape covered in swamp goo made up for all this experimental work they had to put in. Thinking for a second, George knew that it probably would be worth it even just imagining it in his mind made the entire process more than worth it.
