A lot of things happened after the church burning down. Johnny was supposed to be paralized but thankfuly he's going to make a full recovery, but after he gets out of the hospital he has to sit in jail for six months. Dally was colder than usual when he found out. He went back to normal when he got into a fight with Tim Shepered, after Tim found his car with sliced tires.

It was the day after the church fire and Two-Bit and I were on our way to visit Johnny and Dally in the hospital. Once we got there we went straight to Johnny's room.

"Hey johnny. How ya feelin'?" Two-Bit asked once we entered the room.

"Slowly getting better. You guys visit Dally yet?" Johnny asked in his usual quiet voice.

"Not yet. We came to see you first." Two-Bit said leaning against the wall while I stood at the foot of the bed.

"So there's a rumble tonight?"

"Yeah but Darry's probly gunna find a reason for me not to go." I replied to Johnny's question.

"Tell Dally I said 'hi' will ya?"

"Sure Johnny. We'll see you after the rumble tonight." Two-Bit and I said by to Johnny then went to Dally's room. We walked in to see Dally flirting with the nurse who didn't seem to happy with it. The nurse walked out of the room and we exchanged 'hellos'.

"How's Johnny?"

"He's doing ok. Told us to tell you 'Hello'." We chatted for awhile longer before we had to go to get ready for the rumble.

Darry, Dteve, Soda, Two-Bit, and I headed to the lot. Once there we saw Shepard's gang and the Brumly boys. Five mustangs pulled up and the Socs got out. The rumble soon started and then ended with us as the winners.

Dally showed up half way through the rumble, and now him and I were on our way to visit Johnny. Once there we talked for almost an hour. Johnny would be going to court in a few days and we won't be able to see him as often until he gets out.

Over the nest week or so I was back in class and I had to write a composition. The theme was what ever I wanted. After a few hours of thinking of what I want to write about I finally decided and started writing: "When I stepped out into the bright sunlight form the darkness of the movie house, I had only two things on my mind: Paul Newman and a ride home…"
