Okay, so this story thing doesn't have any context. Well, except that it takes place during a camping trip of some sort. During or after Ninja Storm, it doesn't really matter.
Disclaimer: I never have, never will own Power Rangers. This is pure recreation for me, sad as that may be, so be assured that I make no money from this.
"Cam? What's up?"
Crouching in the opening of the tent, Cam glanced over to Hunter before looking outside again. "I don't know. I just got a bad feeling."
Hunter rolled his eyes and lay back down with a sigh. "It's an unfamiliar area. Don't freak out."
"I'm not freaking out," Cam snapped. Calmer, he added, "It's just – Don't you feel like we're being watched?"
Hunter sat up again, glaring at his friend. "Come back to bed."
Returning the glare, Cam crawled away from the tent flap. "Do you have any idea how bad that sounded?"
"Don't care. You lost at Paper, Rock, Scissors, so you're the pillow."
As Hunter patted the flat blanket space next to him, he rolled over on his side, waiting for Cam to join him. When he heard no movement, he sat back up with a growl. "Cam, I swear if you don't get over here and let me get some sleep, I will make the rest of this trip a living –" Hunter's eyes widened. Cam was right in front of him, leaning over him, and preparing to sit, but not quite there yet. And very, very close.
"Give me a minute, will you?" Cam said, his breath whispering across Hunter's face. "I can only move so fast."
"Yeah, well… whatever." Hunter fell back and rolled over, feeling his face flush. When he felt Cam lie down behind him, he lifted his head slightly, allowing the other teen's arm to slide under it. For the second time, Cam's breath blew on his skin, this time on his neck, as he said, "Good night."
Hunter tensed. "'Night," he said, but didn't fall asleep for more than an hour.
