Disclaimer: I don't own Tales of Symphonia or it's sequel. Sew me.

Beware: I used too much dashes and commas for my own good.

I – "Assurance"
"It's n-not like I'm in love with Richter or anything! It's not like that," Emil assures himself, only to feel himself blush and whisper, "Oh, who am I kidding?"

II – "Addiction"
Richter wouldn't believe that the same boy that quivers under a simple, cold stare could be addicted to a simple, warm touch.

III – "Bloodlust"
At the very instant that an enemy attacks, Emil opts to escape – not because he's afraid, but because he knows that a certain redhead hates the scarlet that emanates from his eyes when he unsheathes his sword.

IV – "Forgottances"
It pains Richter when Emil's eyes introvert to normal, and he asks, "Where are we?"

V – "Frail"
Richter can only scowl when Emil stutters in cowardice, but something in this back of his head reminds him that Emil's shyness goes hand-in-hand with his kindness.

VI – "Green"
Back with the main group, Emil notices that no one else was born with those intense, emerald-like eyes.

VII – "Hurt"
When Tenebrae explains everything, Emil wonders who he really hurt – the girl who loved him all along, or the man who, despite everything, loves him for who he is, not for who he looks like.

VIII – "Integration"
"I've never had any problems with half-elves… they're amazing creatures," Emil explains, gazing deep into Richter's eyes, "…because you're one of them."

IX – "Names"
"The name 'Emil Abend' has a nice ring to it," Richter jokes, playfully tinkering with Emil's pale blond hair on a hotel bed, "but I like 'Richter Castagnier' much, much more."

X – "Apologize"
"I… I'm so sorry!" Emil exclaims, cowering behind Richter, who explains that everything's okay, because he finds enjoyment in protecting the one that he loves.

XI – "Love"
At first, Tenebrae cannot understand how Aqua, as a Centurion, learned to love – a quick glance at Emil and Richter, however, reminds him of how powerful love could be.

XII – "Pray"
"I'll teach you how to fight," Richter monotones, mentally praying that, with enough experience, Emil could stop relying on that red-eyed monster.

XIII – "Remembrances"
It hurts to know that he was your main enemy all along, but it hurts more when he breaks down and begins to remember when he 'died' – and who actually 'killed' him.

XIV – "Resemblances"
"… I just might be him…" he contemplates, losing himself to his thoughts until Richter spins around and explains that Aster was Aster, and Emil is Emil.

XV – "Euphoria"
That night, Emil learned that the meaning of 'paradise' couldn't be fully described in a dictionary – he had to thank Richter and his nearly never-ending amount of stamina for that.

XVI – "Enemies"
"Stop staring at him. We have a battle to win," Lloyd snaps, grabbing his twin swords, but Emil can't help but to gaze at the flawless, god-like enemy standing before him.

XVII – "Saint"
"Richter's friend must of had the patience of a saint," Tenebrae rambles, quickly looking at Emil, who spontaneously begins to pay attention – "If I may say so, I see the exact same thing in you."

XVIII – "Devotion"
As a half-elf with a past of discrimination, Richter could never fathom on how people put so much devotion into the Church of Martel – that was, of course, until he had his own small, blond deity to worship.

XIX – "Courage"
"Courage is the magic that turns dreams into reality," Richter mutters, reminiscing on the day when his young, naive friend had first uttered those words – little did he know that it would take him two years and a miracle in a teenager's body to fully understand that quote.

XX – "Embrace"
Emil had learned so much during the period of time in which he was 'living' – human reactions, the effect of emotions, and how powerful an embrace could be.
