I Got the Boy
Sam and I were patrolling the area when I spotted one of the packmates throwing a crushed soda can on the grass. I poked Sam and pointed at him. He told me to chill and he would take care of Paul.
How did he know it was Paul from that far? As we phased back into our human selves, I followed behind him. I knew he had broken up with Emily, so it was too soon to ask for him to come back to me, but I still had feelings towards him.
Paul was the outsider. That's what you would expect from him. Sam stood there for a moment before Paul realized we were there watching him. I held Sam back from destroying him. Paul had no clue how Sam would beat him up for littering.
Sam turned to face me. "Let me go."
I knew if I had, Paul would get kick his ass kicked. He'd even tried to get loose, but I was strong enough to hold him.
"Let me go," he whimpered.
"The only way I'll let you is if you kiss me," I mumbled, quietly, so Paul couldn't hear me.
"What?" he asked, turning his head.
"Kiss me," I muttered this time.
Before Sam turned back to face me, Paul took off. Sam was mad at me - I didn't care. At least I had him alone for a short while. I let him go after Paul was long gone.
"If you ask me if I ever imprinted on Emily. I never did - I always wanted to imprint on you," he said, as he took me in his embrace.
"So you are telling me - you thought she was the one." I pressed my lips against his lips.
"Yes, but I was wrong," he said in my mouth.
"Are we getting back together?" I asked, pulling away from him.
"I think so. Would you give me another chance?" he asked.
"Of course I will," I beamed.
We kissed for a minute or two before we went back to patrolling. I got the boy. Now I'm so happy. I got the one I'd always wanted.
