It had been a long and tiring day of drumming. Collins said he would be teaching all day, Mimi was with Roger for the weekend, Joanne and Maureen were going through another relationship crisis, and Mark was well…being Mark filming everything that moved. Angel decided to make the most of the day and earn some money drumming. It had been a pretty good day. People must've been feeling unusually generous today. It was days like today that made it all worth it for her.

It was about 6 o'clock when she decided to head home. Collins would probably be home soon and she would have to fix him dinner. Besides, it was starting to rain a little so she didn't mind much. By the time, she got to the apartment building, it was pouring rain and she was soaked. She quickly made her way up the stairs to their apartment so she could change out of her sopping garments and put on a nice skirt and shirt for when Collins got home. She opened the door and the most amazing smells hit her like a subway train.

"Collins?"

"Baby, is that you? Don't look into the kitchen, okay?"

She complied and went to go get changed, soon she was dressed in a pale blue skirt and a light pink, tight t-shirt. Soon, curiosity (and hunger) got the best of her and she peeked into the small "kitchen". She had to suppress a gasp from the shock of what was before her.

Their small table had been covered by a white table cloth, which had two large candles two place settings, and a bottle of red wine upon it. The candles were surrounded by red rose petals. Collins was bent over, fixing the last finishing touches on the perfectly prepared and plated dishes of pasta and meatless balls. He looked up, triumphant with his work. As his eyes fell upon Angel watching him, his face fell.

"Baby, I told you not to look! Now the surprise is ru-"

Angel cut him off with a soft, loving kiss.

"Shh…I'm still surprised and I'd like to thank you for all your hard work."

She kissed him again more passionately. Collins reciprocated with even more desire.

"What do you say me skip dinner."

"But I worked so hard on it!" Collins pouted.

"Don't worry, I'll make it up to you," she whispered seductively.

Collins didn't need any more convincing after that.

The pasta and meatless balls lay forgotten until the next morning.
