Syd stretched her body in the air as she slowly sat up. Yawning, she slowly opened one blue eye to see the bright sun beaming into her quarters. Sighing, she swung her legs over the side of the bed so she could begin her morning ritual. Today was going to be a busy day, with training and patrolling, so she needed to get a move on. As she stood, an envelope propped up on the nightstand caught her attention. Wondering what it was, and where it came from, she mentally went through the short list of those that would enter her room while she was sleeping.
'The only ones that would come in while I was sleeping would be Z, Bridge, and Sky,' she thought.
Moving over to the table, she found her name written on the outside of the envelope as she picked it up. She quickly recognized the writing, and curious, she opened it up to see what was inside. What she found was a very short, but incredibly sweet note.

You mean more to me than I could ever admit.

Shrieking with happiness, she crushed the note to her chest, a huge grin on her face, "Oh My God!"
She immediately ran to the bathroom so she could shower and get dressed. He may not have come right out and told her his feelings, or even said who he was, but she knew. He couldn't say it with words, yet, but it was in his actions; the way he watched her back, glanced at her when he thought nobody was looking, and in his touch. She was just so happy that he had actually left the note; it was a step in the right direction. An indication that her feelings just might be returned, and her situation wasn't as hopeless as she once thought.
Syd couldn't wait to see him, to give him a hint that he meant a lot to her as well. She didn't want to embarrass him though, so it would have to be subtle messages that only he could (hopefully) figure out. Today was going to be a great day, she was going to try and win his heart completely. She just hoped he would accept it, and not keep up the tough facade.
Her mission today was to capture Sky's Heart.
