"Mommy?" a 6 year old girl called out. Her hair bounced softly, her messy ponytail ready to fall out. The girl's small feet hit the soft carpeted floor gently as she ran down the dark hallway, listening to the thunder and a sharp siren peirce the dusk.

A sudden pair of arms swept the girl up, holding her mouth shut as a few bangs and crashes were heard from another room.

"Shhhhh. were gonna play hide and seek now. Do you like that game? Were gonna go hide somewhere in your room, and I want you to count too 1 million with me." The man whispered, fear evident in his voice as far as the girl could tell. Normally she wouldnt trust people like this so easliy, he had a a certian aura that made him seem special. She could have sworn she'd seen him before, but where? She had only caught sight of his eyes. He had green eyes. Green, shimery eyes.

The man bolted back for the room the girl had skipped out of. He climbed into the 10 year olds neat closet, closing the door just in time. A tall man with blue skin, and black hair broke open the door, looking for any signs of life.

" Her room...I wonder where the brat is?" the man called out looking under the bed, then towards the closet. He slowly walked over, each step creaking on the carpeted wood.

"167, 168, 169...That sounds like...daddy...173 174 175." The girl whispered softly into his ear.

"Do you know how too open your window?" He asked. She nodded gently.

"On the count of 3, run to your window, and get out, okay? Ill be right behind you." He knew it was a lie, of course. He would have to tackle the man, but as long as she got out okay, and into a shelter before an air raid commenced, it would be fine.He has been outside during one or two before, and it was not fun to say the least.

"1...2...3!!" He yelled the last number, bursting out of the closet. He got her father down from behind, while the girl escaped. The man with green eyes pressure pointed him, knocking him out cold. He then jumped out the window alongside the girl, picking her up and running to the safety of a shelter.

They made it just in time.Planes started moving up above, the Black Star symbol clearly visible. But they werent doing anything. No Violence, no Fire bombs, nothing.

"Werid." He mumbled.He felt a Cy-phone vibrating in his pocket. He pulled it out of his pocket, the caller id displaying a picture of his Assistants. "I should really get back to Control Central they must be worried... so whats your name?" he asked the girl, trying to change the subject and get her eyes off the sky. He thought if her to be 4 or 5 She was very petite and small, with a delicate but humble voice. Her blue hair had fallen out of the ponytail, now freefalling down her back.

He, one the other hand was tall, well built and looked Young. His Black hair made his Eyes stand out even more. He didnt show her the scar on his cheek sense they were crammed in a shelter.

" Skylin Elizabeth Board, but Mommy calls me Blue." She answered. the Man nodded. "Whats yours? and how old are you?" She asked.

"30, soon to be 31. My name is Sir Jackson, but you may call be Jack. Nice too meet you." He held his hand out for her to shake it.

"Arent you the ruler that daddy calls a moron?" She said innocently.

"...Sure..." He nodded, knowing her father to be like that. He sighed, knowing that her mother, his oldest and dearest Friend would want him to leave her Daughter in good hands, and not in the hands of that monster.

"guess what Skylin?" he said as planes roared overhead. She looked up curious on what he had to say.

"Your gonna come stay with me while your mother and father...Work things out." He whispered, a tear falling down his cheek. Afterall, she was his bestfriend sense preschool.

"Dont cry, mommy says to only cry over inprotant things." Sky wiped his face with her sleeve. Jack wrapped his arms around her tightly.

"Im sorry...I should have gotten there sooner..." Sky stayed frozen

"Its okay, I didnt even know we were playing hide and seek until you told me." she whispered back.
