Author's Note: Another Mai/Zuko of Zutara. Seriously, I need to get away from this theme. I wrote this while listening to Bonnie Raitt's 'I Can't Make You Love Me';some songs are just timeless.

She should have known.
She should have seen it coming. Everyone else apparently had, so why didn't she? She contoured to his beliefs, agreed to his every proposal, and yet, he didn't seem to be pleased.
Was it her family's previous status? Their current status? Her former alliance with Azula?
Mai looked between Zuko and the waterbender. His smiles slowly grew, the distance between each other seemed to close – Could it be, that she is the reason why…
Mai turned from the obvious couple. She knew there was always three people in their relationship.
Author's Note: Okay, short drabble is short. But what can I do? I think I am satisfied.
