Seeing the Inside
I cannot see him with my eyes, but I see him with my heart.
I know he is lonely, damaged goods as he says. I know in his heart, he still loves her. Maybe not as much as he says he loves me, but part of his heart still belongs to the woman that hurt him. Why she deserves a piece of it, I will never understand.
Ben is an amazing, sweet man. Somebody I am in love with, more love then he'll ever understand, but that's alright.
I hear him getting annoyed at himself, and Johnny, of course, and I listen as he gets upset, aggravated, and disappointed in himself.
And then I wrap my arms around his gigantic body and do my best at holding him.
Because as much as he loves me, I love him more, and I see him for who he truly is…
