llll Let's Make a Memory llll

"Lorelai, you're not going to throw it again. You know about consequences."

She held another snowball and at his words, she drew her arm back. "Is that a dare or a double dare?"

"It's a warning." Luke bent down and made a snowball too.

She started to laugh. "You wouldn't."

He chucked it at her, hitting her right in the face. She dropped her snowball. "You hit me in the face with snow!"

Luke walked over smiling. "I know. I was there." He reached for her, and she pulled away. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to throw it in your face. You moved." Lorelai looked at him evilly. "Here." He pulled her toward him even though she was hesitant to go. He started brushing snow off of her face, noticing where her skin had gotten red from the coldness. She was still quiet. "Are you upset?" He asked softly. "Come here," he said as he pulled her body close to his. They stood by the porch in Lorelai's yard.

She went into him. "You hit me in the face with snow," she said again.

"You hit me in the face with snow." After all, she had.

"But, mine was funny."

He ignored her. "I'm sorry." He kissed her on the forehead. "You want to go inside?"

"No."

"You're freezing."

"You're here."

"So?"

"Keep me warm." She wrapped her arms around his waist.

He wrapped his arms around her upper back with protectiveness. "Better?"

"It's getting there."

He looked down into her blue eyes. She looked up into his even bluer eyes.

Lorelai smiled. "You know what this is?"

Luke smiled. He leaned close to her ear. "Me falling in love with you all over again?"

She closed her eyes and leaned her forehead against his chin. "Besides that, Sexy."

Luke smiled...again. "Should I guess?"

"You can. You won't get it, though."

"We've been together for four years."

"Yes, we have." Lorelai moved in and kissed his neck.

"We've been married for one."

"Yes." Kiss. "We have."

"You know what that means?"

"You finally learned to read that calendar?"

"It means I have at least a shot of knowing how your mind is working."

"Take it, Cowboy."

He thought for a second. Then, he pulled his neck away from her kisses and smiled. "I got it."

She looked at him doubtfully. "No, you don't."

"Yes." He started to kiss her neck. "I do."

She encouraged his kisses. "Tell me."

He kissed a while longer, sucking in some spots. "It's snowing," he said finally.

"Yeah?"

"You see magic when it snows."

She smiled. "Okay."

"You, me...here."

"Mm hmmm."

He stopped. "This is us. Making a memory, right?"

She froze. "How did you know that?"

He shrugged. "I just do." She gazed lovingly at him. He smiled. "Though my memory is of that snowball crashing into your face."

Her mouth fell open, and she hit him in the chest. He laughed and scooped her up unexpectedly making her scream, then laugh. "What do you say we go into the house and make this an even better memory?" He asked.

"I say, Why are we still standing here?"

He kissed her and carried her inside.
