It begins at the night woods, where Crypto begins to share his thoughts with the readers.
Ah, the night woods. This is where I stroll when I was a kid and where I patrol to this day. It's hard to control my past, ESPECIALLY when you're a victim of child abuse like I was. Maybe you'd like me to explain it all.
A flashback happens to Crypto as a kid getting beaten by his father Ectobionic Shadow.
Back at my house, my dad beat me out of anger. He wasn't drunk or anything. It still felt horrible. I just couldn't take it anymore. I couldn't stand the abuse. So that night, I decided to stand up to my dad.
Mr. Shadow: *walks up to Crypto* I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO...
Past Crypto: *punches Shadow* THAT'S ENOUGH!
At that point, I choked him until he can barely breathe.
Flashback ends and cuts back to Crypto.
I didn't finish him off, though. I wanted to, had I wished. But I spared him. That explains my childhood. Now to get to how I became the way I am.
A flashback happens to where Crypto is sitting on a cliff and crying.
I was sitting on a cliff, until I heard a dark voice.
?: Come forth, Crypto.
I decided to check it out, because it sounded like somebody was dying. It was an old Dark Force member, named Murgoth, who was once a reaper of souls. He was dying was
Murgoth: Take my powers, young one. Become a member of the Dark Force. Avenge me...
Past Crypto: Alright, Murgoth. I'll control the Dark Force powers in your place.
Crypto transforms into a black sneak outfit with the Dark Force gloves, shoes, and scarf.
And before you know it, I became one of the Dark Force members.
Flashback ends and it comes back to Crypto.
