This is my first fan fiction so it is short and probably riddled with grammatical errors and other mistakes I cant name but out of my love of Tolkien I have made an attempt at writing. I hope you enjoy it and leave a review.

In a hole in the ground there had of course lived the Bagginses. They were most certainly a respectable family, perhaps the most in all of the shire, for there were always rumors of some member of the took family going off on some mad adventure, and of course those outside of Hobbiton are queer folk. Mr. Bilbo Baggins of bag end was indeed a very respectable hobbit, never poking his nose about into other people's business, always replying to letters and invitations, unlike his rather rude cousin Milo burrows, and most certainly never going on any sort of adventures or doing anything unexpected altogether. The very respectable Baggins was however going to start his own adventure quit soon. On one bright Tuesday morning Bilbo was headed to the weekly gathering of selling and trading that generally took place in front of The Ivy Bush, Hobbitons' best (and only) inn. He was rather forced, however, to come today, because while most of the selling and trading took place on Tuesday there was always someone carting about his or hers wears and he stocked his pantries religiously. The reason for coming today however was that his stock of tobacco was running quite low and the shipments of long bottom leaf were only sold monthly and on market days. As he was walking about the stalls he began to hear the news, gossip, and strange often untruthful rumors of Sandyman the miller. At first he of course ignored them being as respectable as he was, but soon his curiosity got the best of him when he heard talk of a mysterious stranger. "Queer folk about I tell you!" said Sandyman." Some feller by the name of Gandalf was wandering about the edge of Bywater. Said 'e was headed for Hobbiton lookin' for someone. Troubles all that can come of this I say!" While some started to agree with him others pointed out that a Gandalf had visited the old took during his time and the conversation ended shortly after that. Bilbo of course took it all as nonsense being as respectable as he was, though he seemed to remember some nonsense of his own. After a bit he left for home with a jar of tobacco under his arm. While the stranger called Gandalf entered his mind again he quickly forgot him, telling himself that he was a respectable Baggins and would have no business with wizards, as he recalled him being. After finishing off his second breakfast he sat out in front of his comfortable hobbit hole and blew smoke rings over the hill.
