A/N This one is short a sweet and that's pretty much all it is. I have no idea where this idea came from, but it's cute and fluffy!

Disclaimer: I own nothing!

Stella was staring at the ceiling. She squinted to see the lady bug that landed on the textured surface. Honestly, she was bored. There was nothing on TV and she wasn't in the mood to read. Being alone sucked when one had no desire to be. So there she was staring at the ceiling.

Mac had nearly forced her into a day off. Her recent cases were not only tough but also seemed to hit her rather personally. Mac wanted her to take a break before she wore herself out. As her boss it was annoying, but as her husband it was endearing. He did however; promise to leave work early, unless of course he got hit with a crime scene. Stella smiled to herself as she heard the latch on the door.

Mac unlocked the door to the apartment and entered. He set down his gun and badge. As he slipped off his jacket and noticed the unusual quiet of his home.

"Stella?" he called.

"Yeah" She replied in monotone. Mac laughed when he found her. She was spread out on the rug with her eyes trained straight ahead. Both of her hands were flung out at her sides and her t-shirt had ridden up to expose her tanned abdomen. Mac walked toward her feet and set one foot and either side of her legs. From there he did a quick break fall and caught himself in a push up position, putting him just inches above her face. Stella's eyes widened and her breath caught in her throat.

"Did I scare ya?" Mac chuckled. She nodded slowly. Mac shifted his weight to his right forearm and slid his left hand up under her shirt. He leaned down and kissed her slowly. Stella wrapped her arms around his shoulders and deepened the kiss. Moments later, he rolled off of her and they laid side by side staring at the textured ceiling. "Ah, I see" Mac blurted. Stella turned her head and sent him a confused look.

"What?" She wondered.

"I see why you're staring at the ceiling, that lady bug right there" He explained, pointing to the spot with his finger.

"Yep, you know it Mac" Stella replied sarcastically. Mac laughed, he knew she was beyond bored. In fact she had called him to tell him she was bored, twice. However, he also knew, not only as her supervisor, but as her husband as well that if he didn't pull her out of the lab for a day she would self destruct and that was the last thing he wanted.

"I'm really sorry, hon. I had to do it, for your own good" He said sympathetically. His wife rolled so she could set her chin on his chest.

"I know and at the time I thought you were just being the grumpy old boss man, but during my hours of boring nothingness I realized you were simply being the sweet loving husband." Stella sighed, ending with a smile. Mac smiled as well.

"So I'm forgiven and I don't have to sleep on the couch?" He asked playfully.

"Yes, you're forgiven and if I was going to make you sleep on the couch, I would have done that last night" She pointed out. Mac nodded in agreement and quickly moved so he was on top of her again. He leaned down and captured her lips. "Even if I'm forgiven, I'm going to make it up to you" He mumbled as he broke away before kissing her again. Stella liked that idea.
