Chapter 1: "Enough."

Rain poured down from the cold night's sky. Cars drove up and down the city, minding their own lives.

On a sidewalk was a small girl, most likely six, carrying a backpack.

She had pretty lavender hair that shimmered from the rain and city lights.

Her eyes were two different colors, the left a deep purple, and the right a leafy green.

It appeared she had cuts and scars on her body, which were only exposed when the wind blew her long shirt and leggings around. And it seemed she was slightly limping.

The girl had an almost blank face that was deep with thought. Most likely a bit upset.

She just kept walking past people, avoiding contact, and just trying to get away.

Then a car slowed down to reach the child, and a man rolled down the window to look at her.

"Excuse me, are you lost?" He asked. "Do you need a ride home?"

She suddenly sped to a run and went down an alley to escape the stranger's sight.

She kept running until she was out in the plains next to a seemingly empty road.

When she seemed to be away from the city, she slowed down, and fell to her knees.

A soft squeaking noise came from her backpack, which was still zipped open a bit.

She opened it all the way and pulled out a medium box with holes in it, and secured with a little lock.

She then reached into a pocket in her pants and pulled out a small key so she could open the box.

Inside the box was a small, black rabbit that looked at her and squeaked some more.

"Don't worry, Bon Bon..." She said shakily. "Everything's gonna be better without… Him."

She kissed the bunny's head, secured the box and cautiously inserted it back into her backpack.

When the strange girl had her bag on her back again, and regained balance, she was off again.

The rainy night seemed like it would never end. Her clothes were drenched, and she was lost.

At least- she thought she was. She eventually found some more buildings, and went down a dark alley once more. She emerged in another town, once again with people staring and wondering what she was doing. And honestly, she wasn't sure what she was yet to do either.

Winter was coming and she wasn't prepared whatsoever. It was scary.

Then she found a strange, closed up building. It was closed up with metal stuff.

Maybe it was abandoned and she could sleep there.

She went down. Yet another alley next to the building to find some sort of door.

And she did! There was a door with three small steps up to it.

She went up to it, only to find it was locked. She expected that, so she reached into her bag.

While she was rustling around in it, little did she know, she was being watched…

"Who is she?"

"She seems young."

"Maybe she's fine.- Let's go help her!"

"No, you idiot! I don't even know who she is."

"Wait, what is she doing?"

The little girl pulled a hair pin out of her bag, and carefully straightened it.

Then she faced the door again, and looked at a little lock on the knob.

She slowly stuck it in the hole, trembling a little bit, and attempted to unlock it.

She wasn't sure if it would work, but she saw it on TV shows how they did it.

And for a split second, when she thought she had it, her clip snapped.

The tip was lost inside the lock, useless… The girl looked down and almost started crying.

What was she to do know? She was cold, hungry, cold, and was scared…

Then a thought emerged. It wasn't too thoughtful, but it might do something?

She gave the door three hard knocks. A few seconds flew by, no answer.

This was it. Everything was hopeless. She would have to go back home. Back to that… Monster of a family member... Just the thought made her shudder with fear.

Tears emerged from her eyes, and she laid in between the wall of the building, and the stairs.

She didn't want to go home. Not yet.

If nobody is here by tomorrow, she would go back home…

She opened her bag and hugged her little box, hearing Bon Bon's little squeaks.

Why did life have to be so… Difficult? Unfair? Hellish?

As she thought about the flaws of living, she fell asleep, the rain continuing to soak her.

Then, there was suddenly a small, but miracle-like sound that would change her life forever.

Click.

The door creaked open, and a person walked out with a black umbrella.

They looked down at the sad girl and scooped her up in their arm.

After looking in both directions up anddown the alley, they closed their umbrella before stepping back into the building, locking the door behind them.

"Haru! P-please stop!" The girl cried.

"Haru stop it right now!" Shrieked the horrified mother.

"I've had enough of this mistake! And Can't believe your even my SISTER!" Screamed the boy.

A blow was landed. And that was enough…

I've had enough of this hell of a home… With this monster of a family member.

I…

Am…
