Fic Exchange for Dramatic Melody. She asked for a Chris/Lindsay, and I gladly obliged.

Sorry if it seems out of character! I did my best!

Swans

When Camp Wawanakwa somehow aquired three swan paddleboats, Lindsay couldn't believe her luck. Sure, the water was shark infested and possibly toxic, but she loved those miniature boats, painted pristine white and smooth wooded. Even she knew what they implied-- that little nature fact: swans mate for life.

The other girls, while seeming somewhat enthused when first seeing them, soon outgrew the novelties and spent little time paddling around with eachother or the guys they were so smitten with.

Not Lindsay, though. She and Tyler spent a lot of time on the water, especially when Heather was in the shower or wasn't paying attention to her. That is, until he was kicked off. That didn't stop her from gaining boatmates or even surfing along by herself.

It gave her time to work on her tan, and her legs were getting killer toned when she did.

Paddling along, Lindsay was glad she had the lake to herself. It was serenely quiet, the only sounds being that of birds and the sloshing water around her boat.

She had resigned to circling the lake until she noticed a familiar figure waving at her from the dock. Padding over, she was getting ready to climb over the extra seat when he climbed in besides her.

Chris, being Chris, had made sure no camera men were awake. Lindsay wasn't sure if any of the other campers were up yet, as she had just woken up on her own, without any announcement to get up.

"Hey, Kyle." Lindsay said, somewhat puzzled at his sudden action as they started drifting towards the middle of the lake and she started moving her legs.

"It's Chris, Lindsay. Say it with me now, Chr-is." He rolled his eyes, almost as if this was a normal occurance-- not the name forgetting, but the paddle boating.

"Oh, right! I should remember that, really." She said, leaning back into the sparsely padded seat as she continued to paddle fluidly-- like a normal person rides a bicycle.

Chris said nothing, but continued to paddle along side the blonde teen. "You know, I have no idea why the network gave us these things."

"Really?" She said, raising a perfectly maintained eyebrow. "I would have thought, you'd have to, like, put in a request for something like these."

"Really." He answered simply, leaning back like she had, continuing to peddle, though with a little more difficulty than Lindsay.

After about ten minutes of silent riding, they started towards the dock. As the stopped and stood, cautiously, Lindsay hopped out with surprising ease.

"Wanna hear something cool, Chi-- Chris?" She asked, somewhat excited that she could exhibit even the smallest bit of know-how.

"Sure." He said, stepping out on his own, slightly wobbly.

"Swans mate for life!"

Regaining his balance on the dock, the twenty five year old host showed off his pearly whites. "That they do."

The two then went their seperate ways.
