Tokiko Tsumura was apprehensive. Her boyfriend of 5 years, Kazuki Muto, had been distant recently. Was it something she had done? Sure she didn't express her emotions that much but that wouldn't be enough for him to break up with her, was it? He had suggested they eat out tonight at her favorite restaurant. She decided to wear a black dress with some nice shoes she had just bought. She brushed her hair back so that it framed her face. Her reflection showed her apprehension, particularly in her golden eyes. Sighing heavily, the former Alchemist Warrior left her apartment to meet her boyfriend.

Throughout the dinner, the couple made small talk. After their meal, Kazuki's lips came together in a firm line, his face showing a serious expression.

"Tokiko, we've been with each other for a while now- but before he could continue Tokiko has rushed from the restaurant, tears flowing from her eyes.

She did not know where she was going, she just ran. After some time her legs gave out on her and she sunk to the soft earth. She had run into a forest. Cherry blossoms fell in the moonlight, dancing and whirling with the wind. The woman started pounding the ground, her anger rising. Why? What had she done to deserve a life like this? Bereft of family and friends, living only to kill. She glanced down at her hands and felt drops of blood flowing from her palm. She was about to get up but she felt a pair of hands on her shoulders.

"Why did you run away?"

"Because you're breaking up with me." Kazuki gently turned her around and hugged onto her tightly.

"Tokiko I love you and I have a question to ask you." Kazuki helped her up and then he got down on one knee. Taking a small case from his pocket he opened it up, revealing a diamond ring with a simple gold band. Carefully, Kazuki slid it onto her ring finger. "Ever since you gave me my new life, I've loved you. Will you marry me?" Tokiko's eyes welled with tears again.

"Yes Kazuki." She hugged onto him tightly and kissed him with more passion than the young man could ever remember. Breaking the kiss, she leaned in close and whispered in his ear. "Thank you Kazuki. Thank you for loving me. I'll stay with you forever."

"That's a long time, Tokiko. I'm content if you stay with me right now. Let tomorrow worry about itself." The moon was smiling down at the couple, bathing the world in white. Together they walked back, hand in hand, enjoying the moment and all the ones that were to come.
