Hello, welcome to Rise of an Empire this is going to be a story that takes place on Remnant. it is to replace us in remnants

A man namedAlexander Andrews or Alec was the king of a small nation in the Pacific Ocean, this nation name was United Maruli, but the thing is its only about 100 acres that is at least the size of 100 soccer fields so very small for a country so they were trying to figure out a way to expand out but their military consisted of 3/4 of the population and was considered on stand by, so there was no chance of invasion of another country.

They tried other means such as expanding with houseboats and docks but that only got them so far, they decided to put expansion funding into research and development of a way to expand but all failed except one idea that was founded by none other than a boy named Jae Gema who was in the trade school for a small physics course that they had on the island he adapted the Cross Universal Travel System or C.U.T.S for short and that is exactly what it does it cuts through the fabric of space for a mere 30 seconds to let anything through, it is connected to a mesh on the entire island so it will transport anything the mesh touches

It is only a one-time thing so any chance of us gaining more territory was on the balance of this device. Now that the past thirteen years have been explained we can talk about the final moment before it is activated.

Alec was standing in the underground control room talking with the lead scientist

"How long till it's functional," Alec asked

"Well it is ready to be turned on at any time but we still have preparations that need to be set such as the mesh and the poles that connect to it which should take about 7 hours if we cease the farming and industry to use the men to help" the lead most scient replied

"very well make sure they get a little bit of extra pay for helping out

"very well my king" with that the scientist left to rally the people to get the mesh placed over the country

The king needed to get to a meeting with the rest of the elder council which consisted of 3 of the kings' court along with the king and 5 public counselors to finalize the acceptance of this idea

so king Alec entered the meeting hall with the rest of the elder council he was met with the faces of eight grown men in their 30s-60s standing in respect of me a mere 25-year-old king

"Good morning ladies and gentlemen today we gather in the hope for a new future beyond the veil of our universe, today we have gained enough energy to fire the machine, we started this mission exactly 13 years ago when I had realized we had run out of space on the island we built houseboats but they weren't enough so we designed the C.U.T.S after all this work its time for us to start our expansion, I just need your finale vote". with that all of the council raised their hand and said yay so the vote was unanimous.

after the council meeting, Alec left the meeting hall to see the mesh set up he walked to the science center and told the lead scientist to start the C.U.T.S before he flipped the lever alec spoke over a mic "attention all marulian citizens, please grab ahold of something and pray to any god you believe in that we survive" he turned to the scientist and nodded in a crackled flash they saw many things flash around them.

the first thing the king noticed was the air it was less tropical and more like average temperature, the next thing he noticed was its night he walked out of the science center which was smoking and slightly crackling from electricity. the rest of the micronation came out of their home and notices the moon

"Oh god the moon"

"what have we done"

"did it work"

a crowd of people circled the king asking him questions about whether it worked or not

"people of maruli we can't fear we don't know where we are so we will need volunteers to be scouts and rangers and a few guards I'm going with you all I want to see if my theories are true at where we are, I believe we are in remnant...I mean look at the moon it's the exact same. if you don't know what rwby is then my steward will be showing it in the cathedral tomorrow morning at 8 until it's over so we understand what is going on when things kick off, although I'm just guessing still, we may be somewhere else in the multiverse but none the less my steward will look after the city and we will go off in our amphibious armored truck and we shall return in four days time so until then please study the show meticulously and try to keep order oh and make sure the animals stay fed farewell"

The king in his ceremonial clothes got in the truck and took to the edge of the country (which was like 80 feet from the town square) once they saw the edge was water everyone was disappointed until the light reached the other side and showed they were in a lake rather than an ocean meaning in fact that it did work so they drove over the lake to continue their scouting .

four hours after they had left the country the sun started rising so the five men decided to stop to rest a second

"so tell me, my king, what made you want to transport us to another world," one man asked

''well we needed land and it seemed like it could work that boy sure did seem like he could make it work and it did so all we need to do is build a bridge and we have a city extension''
