Prologue
He was gone. Forever, stuck behind a veil in the Ministry of Magic. To some, these words were meaningless. Just another sentence to type up in the Daily Prophet; just another death to be recognized. To Emmeline Vance, however, these words meant everything. They meant the end of the happiest period of her life. They meant that out of the five friends that had grown to be her family at Hogwarts, only one other was left. They meant that the one she had grown to love, and rely on the most, was never to return again.
A/N: Obviously, this is the prologue, and it's rather short. Don't worry, though; the other chapters are going to be a lot longer. This story consists of the memories that Sirius Black, Emmeline Vance, and their friends had together, when they went to Hogwarts.
