A few decades befor the Halo catastrophe the Sangheili find a surprising discovery on their homeworld. What happens when the Prophets unleash this discovery upon Earth in an attempt to end the war in their favor? Rated T

This is my first story so I'd really rather not have flames but constructive criticism is greatly appreciated.

I own Resa, the random Covenant's that appear the character designs for all of the Oc's, and the story line.

Rights to the name Gin Ryuee belong to Requiem D.

Everything else belongs to Bungie.

The Lost Tribe

Chapter 1: Discovery

A group of elites are patrolling Sanghelios in order to make sure no enemy beings had landed.

"Shipmaster we're coming up on an unknown formation," Shiru said.

"Hmm, go check it out and report back to me when you find out what it is," The shipmaster replied.

"Yes sir," Shiru replied.

When the patrol team arrived at the formation they found it to be an extremely deep crevice in the ground.

"Activate the night vision in your helmets," Shiru said to his squad. When the Sangheili peered into the crevice they realized that there was something inside it. "Activate your heat sensors," Shiru demanded trying to find out if what was inside of the crevice was alive.

"Sir, what is it," one of the Elites in Shiru's squad asked.

"I don't know," he replied "we must examine it closer," Shiru continued before jumping into the crevice followed by the rest of his squad.

When they landed in the bottom of the crevice Shiru's squad saw something they would never had thought they would have seen.

"T-t-they're Sangheili," another Elite said.

"No look," a third one said pointing at the closest one "It has a tail."

"Shipmaster there's something down here you need to see," Shiru said across his radio.

"What is it," the Shipmaster replied.

"It's a…. Well I don't know," Shiru said.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW," The shipmaster yelled across the radio.

"I mean I don't know, they look like Sangheili but there are major differences between us and them," Shiru replied.

"What kind of differences,"

"Well first of all they have tails, and a dual hinged mandible,"

"What, no it can't be they died out hundreds of years ago," the Shipmaster replied "Bring them to the ship."

"Yes sir," Shiru said. "Each of you grab one of these things we're returning to the ship."

Well this is my first chapter I hope you like it.

Oh and in case your wondering this chapter takes place before halo 1 but the next chapter should contain a so called "montage" of the for now called creatures childhood and training period and all chapters after that take place during the halo saga.
