It was unbearable being anywhere at the moment for Anthony DiNozzo, for everything around him reminded him of her. Yesterday his beautiful wife had died after being blown up by a suicide bomber on the streets of Georgetown. He was hit harder then imaginable by this, for she was his best friend, his partner, his lover and his soul-mate (something he never believed in until he met her) all in on shot. She had meant so much to him and BOOM!!!… he could barely even take it any more. The many things around him had memories of her attached to them: from the bed they slept on (and even more often made love on), down to the small scar on his nose; which he had got while fixing a sprinkler. He let out a small laugh at that thought, instead of fixing it, he had fallen nose first onto it, breaking it even more. Ziva just laughed at him (God, he missed that beautiful sound) and fixed it herself, with and undeniable smirk across her face; while he sat next to her, clutching his nose.

He finally decided he needed to go to work, to distract himself to stop the pain getting any worse.

He drove in true Israeli style (making sure he didn't get ambushed) as a tribute to Ziva and her way of living life in her own crazy way. He arrived and ran into Gibbs in the elevator who simply told him to go home because they didn't need him there. He just looked at him straight in the eye and said,

"Boss, I need to do this."

At this, Gibbs just nodded and the elevator opened up to the squad-room. Gibbs stepped aside and he walked over to the bullpen. He instantly regretted coming as soon as he saw her desk, sitting there as it should be with everything in its place. For a second it almost tricked him into thinking that she was alive and sitting there patiently waiting for him to come in there and fall victim to one of her traps. But she wasn't there and it hurt him even more then before. The desk had changed over the years she had worked at NCIS, it was more open and warm then when she first took over the desk after Kate died. That reminded him of how they met and he softly chuckled at that, thinking "and she still married me after that!" On the desk were two photos in classic wooden frames. The first was of the team on Christmas Eve last year when Tony had proposed to Ziva, in that photo they had a sparkle in their eyes and everyone was smiling, even Gibbs. The second photo was a black and white photo that was taken on their wedding night, during their first dance. They looked so in love in the photo as they were staring so deeply and lovingly into each other's eyes, that you would wonder how you could love someone that much, and yet they did.

Next to them on the desk was a paper aeroplane that he had made for her a week earlier when they were doing cold cases. He had spent literally hours perfecting every fold just for her, and when he flew it over, it had nosedived into the middle on the bullpen. Gibbs glared at him while Ziva couldn't keep the grin off of her face. She stood up, walked over and picked up the plane; she un-creased it, placed it on her desk and mouthed thankyou to him as she sat down: still with a large grin plastered across her face.

Besides the computer sitting on her desk a pen, without it's lid was sitting there too. It was 3 days ago that he had stolen the lid from her, because she wasn't telling him something. She had eventually caved and tears filled his eyes as he fingered the pen lid that was still in his pocket, he was so happy 2 days ago, and in one day he had lost all of his happiness. He suddenly broke down sobbing in the middle of the bullpen as emotion overwhelmed him. Gibbs had come back and seeing his agent's distress, he rushed over to him. Tony fell down into his boss's embrace, weeping for the loss of his 2 loved ones (one of which he hadn't met yet).

"She's gone," he sobbed, "She's gone."
