Prologue: The Tower of Babel.
All animals have an intellect. Humans as well. Although we may consider their actions strange and obscure, it is really we who are the aliens. It has taken us many years to finally create the GIN (Global Intellectual Network) that we now know exists. And it would not have been possible at all without the help of one individual from the animal kingdom.
She belonged to a species who had been hated almost since the beginning of time, for their supposed inaction during the conflict of the "Birds and the Beasts" The bats have been an enigma to humans for hundreds of years. For an immeasurable tract of time they were considered to be cursed animals, thrown from the vilest pits in hell to terrorize the poor pitiful creatures of this earth. We have destroyed their homes, burned roosts, cut down forests poisoned rivers and done all manner of things to try to wipe them from the face if the earth. Experimentation during the second world war e.g. Project X-RAY served only to widen the gap even further. To think that one of their own kind would serve to open the lines of communication defies comprehension. Yet it is so. Here is the story of how one divergent mind, could circumvent years of pain and suffering and begin to heal the wounds of injustice.
