A quick little one-shot dedicated to the fans of Masamune/Oichi. Hope everyone likes it! I wrote this late at night, so if it sounds a little off it's because I was half-asleep.
He pushed aside the flap of the tent and stepped inside; letting it close behind him. Oichi laid curled up hugging her pillow. Though something did catch his eye as he entered the tent. He stepped closer and knelt down to get a better look. She was crying. If it was because of a dream there was nothing he could do without waking her; but she needed her rest so he didn't want to wake her.
She had lived through quite the ordeal; which she had blamed herself for. Why was she so insistent on blaming herself for everything that had happened? It wasn't like she made the 'Devil King' an evil bastard. She was his sister and yet he tried to take her life as well. There was no humanity from that man towards anyone; not even family. Because of this, he didn't want Oichi to stay in Owari. There must be too many things or memories there that she shouldn't have to deal with.
It must have been an impulsive act of compassion as he reached out and brushed away her tears. "Naga..masa-sama..." she murmured in her sleep. He jerked his hand back, momentarily startled. Right; that makes sense. Of course she would be dreaming of him. Actually, now that he thought about it, she was probably plagued by nightmares.
"Shit..." he muttered as he ran a hand through his hair. What was he supposed to do? Wake her up? What sort of explanation would he give for being in her tent? Did he even need an explanation? ... He let out a sigh as he stood. He should just leave her be and get some rest himself. Yeah, that would be a good idea seeing as how his own injuries from the ordeal with the Devil King had not healed completely yet. And he knew that he would never hear the end of it from Kojuro if they didn't heal properly. Masamune pushed the flap of the tent aside when he stopped and glanced back at her. He saw her hug the pillow a little tighter before he stepped out of the tent letting the flap fall closed behind him.
