What was running through my head right now I had no clue. I was about to tell Charlie that Edward was a vampire. I was going to jeopardize my future with him and possibly harm his family.
"Charlie I have something to tell you and I don't know how to put it."
"Bells don't tell me that you're pregnant."
"No dad. How could you even think that?"
What am I even doing? I can't jeopardize my future with Edward, but I can't continue to lie to my Charlie. Here I'll kind of hint at him and see if he can guess right the first time.
"Hey Charlie I mean dad. What if I said that someone close to mean liked to drink human blood?"
"I'd have to say whoever that is needs to stay away from my Bells, he chuckles to himself quietly."
"Yeah its pretty funny isn't it? That stupid fairytale thing I watched last night about vampires. You know how I get about scary stuff."
"Bells why did this come up is there something you're not telling me?"
"No dad, I'm telling you absolutely everything."
"Dad is it okay if Edward comes over tonight?"
"Well Bells I thought that maybe me and you could spend some father daughter time. What do you think about that?"
"Well dad I kind of already invited him over."
"Oh Bells I wish you wouldn't always do that to me!"
"Sorry dad, but I love you!"
Why is this always my fault I was thinking that all of us could hang out but Charlie already secluded him self to his chair in the living room with a cheap can of beer.
All of a sudden there was a knock on the door, but I couldn't get myself up to get it I knew it was Edward but I couldn't bear to see his face when I told him about what had almost happened.
"Bells you gonna get that or am I going to have to get up and walk all the way over there?"
"Hang on dad I'm in the bathroom even though I was lying yet again."
"Well hurry up its getting really annoying and I'm trying to watch the game."
"Okay I'm coming calm down."
"Hi Edward."
"Hi my beautiful Isabella."
"Come on will go to my room so we can have some quiet without the noise of some buzzer from the basketball game."
What was going to happen when I tell him I almost put his family in danger and almost ruined our relationship? How could I bear to tell him the truth when it would hurt him so much that I wouldn't be able to stand it? He has been so loyal to me and look at this am I loyal back of course not? This moment I would remember in a bad way for the rest of my life no matter how long I lived 50 years or forever.
"Edward I have to tell you something that you may no like."
"Yes beautiful, what is it?"
"Well I almost told Charlie about your secret and I feel absolutely terrible like I could just die. I said, "What if someone close to me liked to drink human blood all he did was laugh at me and say what a ridiculous idea you've been watching too many of those scary movies on TV."
"Bella why would you do this to me and my family?"
"Edward I didn't mean to, but I can't stand lying to him."
"You know what this means now right?"
"No Edward that can't be true you cant have to move away."
"I'll try everything I can not to move away but I can not make any more promises."
"I'm so sorry I did this to you. It's my entire fault."
"I can't say that it is not but you put me in so many tough situations that I don't really know if I can stay much longer it pains me to say. I must go home and tell Carlisle right away. Go to sleep my angel I will be back after midnight."
