Author's Note: Hi there! I've posted this on my livejournal account (as athenesolon) but I've decided that it's time to consider posting some of my stories elsewhere. I would love to read your opinons on this fic and if you're interested in betaing some of them I would be more than interested. (And I promise not to bite if you post a review) :

Otis swept up the floor while whistling a jaunty tune. No matter how much he tried he was always peripherally aware of the seductively clad woman in the room. Unconsciously he moved toward her as she glanced up from her paperback novel to smile at him affectionately. His face lit up and he gravitated to her like a moth to a flame. He looked over at the table where plates of pastries were resting and he stopped for a moment to snag one from the top one of the piles. She quirked her finger to suggest he come closer and he nearly stumbled over his own feet trying to rush to her side.

Eve leaned towards him and said a little low and conspiratorial voice, "you know, you deserve a teensy tiny piece of this pie Luthor is making," she said.

"What pie? Where? What kind is it?" Otis asked quickly and excitedly.

"I mean you deserve a tiny place in Luthor's new property," she said as she pointed over at the map on the wall. Nowhere was there a place with his name on it.

"Oh I don't know about that Miss Tessmacher," Otis said honestly, his devotion to Luthor clear, "It seems like I have everything I need right now," he continued before taking a big bite from the jelly donut he held in one hand and the broom in the other. The strawberry jam spurted out to fall on his shoe as Otis looked down at the jelly forlornly.

"But what about after he blows up the coast?" she asked with her eyebrows raised. "You think he's really going to need you afterward? Why don't you see about adding a little village to the map of your own. I doubt Lex would notice," Eve continued with a sickly sweet smile on her face and a tiny glint in her eye.

Otis looked at Eve with a sense of devotion, "You're right Miss Tessmacher. I'll see to it right away."

Eve looked on as Otis trotted off. He was actually a very sweet man if a little dim. Too bad she already had her sight set on something else, she thought as she looked up at the ceiling and daydreamed of a man in a blue suit and red cape.
