Hey guys, im sorry for not updating Highschool Never Ends, but I have had writers block for, like, EVER. This is just a little fic with sour cotton candy that I am addicted to. and for those of you who don't know, its angsty fluff : ) This fic just popped into my head when I was writing my ELA paper so I….kinda wrote this instead. –looks around with shifty eyes- btw, this AU, so don't get all confused and huffy about it mmkay?

A warm breeze blew over the tan man, caressing golden locks and ruffling spikes. The chilled grass pressed against his bare feet as he stood, hands in pockets, on the hill that presided over a lake. The dying sun cast defiant rays of fire across the sky as it slipped beneath the tall mountains, clinging to the last shreds of blue.
Standing on a hill, staring at a mountain;
Swallows dive and turn, trying to catch what we can't see;
Sure ain't the first time; hope it ain't the last time
When all the work is done, by the light of a setting sun;
Naruto sighed softly, his heart throbbing dully for his ex-lover, Sasuke. This was their special place, or supposed to be. The raven's new place was apparently his work office. When the blonde had tried to suggest taking a break from work, Sasuke had snapped and as a result, the two were now split apart. Three years to this day, and Naruto still couldn't get the proud Uchiha out of his head.
-Flashback-
Hey teme, where are we going?" Naruto laughed musically towards his lover who was currently leading him, blindfolded, through a small forest.
"A secret place that belongs to you and I, and nobody else," responded Sasuke with a true smile on his face. They broke through the stretch of tree's and walked onto the little hill that held dominion over a glassy lake and the mountains behind it.
Without a word, the Uchiha untied the knot to the blindfold, letting it slide to the ground as he assessed his lovers reaction. It couldn't have been more perfect.
Naruto's eyes glossed over with unshed tears as he marveled, taking a few steps forward and gently urging Sasuke with him.
"S-Sasuke….it's so beautiful," he whispered in awe while tears slide down his whiskered cheeks. The raven walked behind him and wrapped his long arms around his golden lovers petit frame, fitting Naruto's back into the grooves of Sasuke's chest.
"It's all for you, baby. This is my promise that we'll be together forever," the raven murmured. Naruto turned in his lovers arms to kiss him passionately, even as they slid to the ground and clothes were shed. They were the only two souls to reach a heaven that evening. Two of the lucky ones.
-End Flashback-
We see what we've become - two of the lucky ones.
For the very first time, there's no words to be found;
Opened up our eyes, there was love all around -
When all the work is done, by the light of a setting sun;
But all of that magic was ruined in a second. All because of a stupid mistake. Tears poured down whiskered cheeks as the golden man fell to his knees and buried his head in his hands, crying out for the lover that would never come. The sun breathed a final cry of light before the cold moon took over, shining her mocking rays on the broken man below.
We see what we've become - two of the lucky ones.

Wow. That was a lot angstier than what I usually write… although I have been pretty angsty lately. DAMN YOU COLD VIRUSES! *shakes fist at doctors* Anyhow, I had this idea in my mind and it wouldn't let go of me, so….yeah. And this song is, like, the BEST song ever. Seriously. Go look it up. Its called 'Two of the Lucky Ones' by the Drodge and Summers Blend. And yes, its was in zombieland ;)
