The Hug

I didn't know who it was. I didn't care. I just turned around and sobbed into their chest. Disclaimer: I don't own anything.

It was a hug. It was only a simple hug. But it saved my life.

I was depressed. That was an understatement. I cut. A lot.

I wanted to commit suicide.

I had planned it so many times, rewritten my suicide note over and over again.

Luckily, it never happened.

I was cutting in the girls toilets. There was no one there. It was past curfew. The middle of the night.

I didn't hear him come in. I didn't hear him walk over to me. I just felt his arms around me.

I didn't know who it was. I just turned around and sobbed into his chest. He soothed me. He calmed me down.

Now it's our wedding.

"Astoria Greengrass, do you take Draco Malfoy to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do."

"Draco Malfoy, do you take Astoria Greengrass to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do."

The hug that changed my life.
