A/N: I don't own ****, which always makes me sad
Falling, falling, always falling. Was there a bottom? He fell, dazedly he looked around. Red eyes appeared watching him from the darkness. He looked around for something to protect himself with. Nothing. Inky shadows everywhere. Run his mind told him. Run deeper into the darkness that was already threatening to swallow him up. Or he could stay, stay, and fight, and hope for help. There were the faint sounds of crying above him. A golden head. Already he knew: golden, princess curls, steel gray eyes that flash with determination, the smartest person he'd ever known. Annabeth, his mind supplied. No, he tried to think frantically, not her, anyone but her. He would have been fine knowing she was alive in the light, anywhere but down here in the darkness with him. She fell, and the red eyes pounced on her. Annabeth! He tried to scream. No, no, leave her alone! No one could hear him. He watched her, his Wise Girl be torn apart. The red eyes surrounded him, laughing, mocking, Well, grandson? You may have defeated me up there, but down here, you will die. Kronos lunged at Percy, and Percy screamed, and screamed, and screamed
"-AAAAAAHHH!" Percy was flailing around, entrapped in his sheets. He shot up, crying and sweating. He took deep breaths, and glanced at his Finding Nemo alarm clock. He groaned. It was 6:15, he had to get up and get ready. He dragged himself out of bed, grabbed a pair of shorts, a t-shirt, and jumped into the shower. He let out a sigh of relief as the warm water pounded down on his back and released some of the knots. He toweled off and headed down to breakfast.
Sally smiled as she saw her son bound down the stairs, "Blue pancakes, sweetie!"
Percy smiled at his mother, and nodded to Paul who was also sitting at the table with a forkful of normal pancakes in his mouth, and newspaper in hand.
"Are you driving me, mom?" Percy asked. Percy was going to attend Goode High School. It was going to work perfectly because now he had Paul to cover for him if any monsters showed up.
"Yes, sweetie. I'm going to drive both of you there, run some errands, and I should be back in time to pick you both up. Okay?"
Percy nodded and shoveled some more pancakes into his mouth, "Thanks mom!" Percy said before grabbing his backpack and sprinting to wait in their car. After Percy had saved the world, the gods decided he and his family at least deserved a house and not an apartment, and a car. It was pretty nice of them, though some had argued *coughHeraDionysusHephaestuscough*. Percy smiled as he waited for the rest of his family. His dream was just a dream. He no longer had to worry. He could go back to being a (mostly) normal teenage boy.
