AN: This is some random story that I thought of. I haven't read all of Fruits Basket yet, so I have no clue what's going to happen. Anywho, this idea came from a story I wrote with my friend a while back. The title was something I thought of and it sounded funny, so I used it. Begining and ending of stuff is indicated by "bbbbbbb."

Summary: AU, Two princes go on a journey to meet the princesses they are betrothed to. The only problem being they hate each other. How will they survive the long quest? possible pairings: Kyou/Kagura, Yuki/Tohru

Warnings: Some cursing, maybe violence.

"What? There's no way I'm going with him!"

The angry voice of Kyou filled the darkened room, echoing back at them when it hit the walls. The orange-haired boy turned his back to the tall man who gave him the order. Sighing, the old man placed a hand on Kyou's shoulder, looking sadly at the boy.

"Son, I know you do not get along with Prince Yuki, but he is your cousin. You two are betrothed to marry the princesses in the two neighboring kingdoms. It's naturally the first and only choice you are offered unless you wish to ride alone?"

In order to get to the Emerald and Moors Kingdom, you had to go through the woods, and past the bandits and enemies along the way. People didn't like trespassers, so they got rid of them by killing them. Anyone who wanted to keep their heads never went alone.

Yuki stood next to the door, watching the two converse. He didn't exactly like the idea of traveling days with Kyou beside him, but he agreed to it, because Akito had wished it. Akito was the one who ruled over the kings, making him the Lord.

It was a confusing law, but it was what the past ruler deemed "right." nobody said anything in fear of upsetting Akito. He was feared throughout many kingdoms, fear from what he could do to people.

"Stupid Kyou, just hurry up and get ready so we can leave already. I don't like this anymore than you do."

"Shut up! I don't have to listen to you!"

"No, but you do want to rule your own kingdom, don't you? Plus we all know how much you adore Kagura," Yuki drawled with sarcasm. He could practically see the hatred in Kyou's eyes as he stomped out of the room.

"You really shouldwatchwhat you say, Yuki. You know how Kyou gets when you bring up Kagura."

"I know, I know. It's amusing to see him get so mad," Yuki said, smirking as he turned and left the king alone by himself.

That's all I wanted to put up. It's not much, but I didn't want to write a lot if it was bad. Tell me what you think, and how you want it to go. I might continue!
